I got this book for my 12 month old daughter and she absolutely loves it. She picks it up throughout the day to play with. She likes being able to turn the pages to see what the picture really is. On the zoo page we take the time to point to and name all of the animals. The book is simple and sweet and just the right length for her attention span.

I did enjoy this book. When I finished there were three questions that had not been answered and I was somewhat upset. Someone as talented as Koontz is well aware of the fact that there are some issues unresolved. I am confident that it was intentional. In thinking about it, it was kind of refreshing. The last book I read the author tried to tie everything up in the last 3 pages or so and it seemed so forced and phony. If you demand a resolution to everything this may not be the book for you.

I've been into the self-help books since I was 20, today I am 34 and I've read 200 (or more) books of this kind (including almost all books from "the law of attraction"), so after so many years reading so much rubbish my mind was very confused and my life too. On the financial realm, I got a enourmous debt, on the professional realm, I got only stress and more stress and a unhappy job, the more I "tryed" to use the secret and others "tools" (like Dyer Japa meditation to manifestation...) the more my life sunk. One day, in deep depression I collapsed, and I did what I should have done 10 years ago, going to a psychologist, a real professional about our mind health.

OK, this is a cheap book so I can't complain too loudly (thus, 3 stars). But the only reason I decided to buy the book was for the section on Kindle and email, thinking there was some trick I'd missed. The author recommends using Gmail (and using email forwarding and aliases to give the impression you can read/send from other email accounts). In fact though, it would appear Gmail has changed and the process outlined doesn't work. Not for me anyhow (YMMV) but beware. The rest of the content IMO is going be either (a) mildly interesting but you've probably already figured it out, or (b) a hidden but no so useful function. Scarpetta (Kay Scarpetta)

I loved Scarpetta because of its unique take on the criminal justice system.
Cornwell's characters are interesting and complex, exposing their entire personalities from their faults to their convictions. The story pulls you into the heart of the drama and makes you believe you are standing right next to the characters as the story unfolds around you. But it is the dynamic of the relationships between the characters that keeps you riveted. It is almost impossible to pull yourself away from the book. An extremely satisfying experience!
Another plus is that Cornwell provides just enough background information for those who haven't read the prior novels in the series. So if Putnam comes out with a Scarpetta box set- I am definitely ... Read More:

I'm a 23-year-old female republican. We are a scarce breed to be sure. The 2008 election is the first primary I voted in; Mike Huckabee is the reason. I grew up under Ronald Reagan and fell in love with his leadership. I became very disheartened with Bush 41 and how our party has become the corporate party. That's why we are losing elections now. People don't trust the GOP to look out for them and the good of the country. These Wall Street Bailouts are another example of the GOP selling out. (Mike is against the bailouts.)

I am an Iranian living in Canada and as a pro-America individual, I'd like to express my gratitude to the American people who have done so much good for the world. In this book, Mr. Medved (host of his own radio show) dismantles the liberal lies one by one and makes a great example for those who would like to know the truth about the United States. This book is very well written, easy to read and I look forward to recommend it to those misguided friends of mine who do not appreciate the existence of the US as much as I do. This book is greatly recommended for its content and the way it is written. I loved it!

Another great book by Jamie Leigh Curtis and her illustrator Laura Cornell. I am a Childrens librarian, and enjoy reading ALL of her books to the children at story times! She really speaks to the children in a way they understand and enjoy.

Interesting, insightful and honest. Easy to read. Women are often accused of being self-absorbed when they simply are living for themselves. Who else should she live for? Self-centered is not a bad thing, if the self is striving for truth and happiness. And look what she achieved in the process: a home for her Balinese friend, a book enjoyed and loved by many (even if reviled by some), enriching experiences for herself and many of the people with whom she formed bounds on her journey. Would her time have been better spent working for a corporation, having and caring for a baby she didn't want? Being true to yourself seems a better choice.

Having read this novel a few months before 2008 Presidential Elections helped me to investigate closer before I cast my vote. The story is very realistic--even the way it ends.
