Classic E&E - thorough but straightforward. A lot of the important cases are in the examples though, so don't plan on skipping over them. The hornbook doesn't cover the Federal Tort Claims Act or Section 1983.

I am a special educator who is always looking for new inspiration for my on-going teaching. This book warmed my heart. I could relate to the stories as if I had written them myself. Like the other Chicken Soup Books I have read, the editors have truly chosen a nice sample of stories of people who have achieved much, struggled long and hard, and continued living their lives to the fullest. This book can help people who wonder what special needs people can do. This book is a source for inspiration to help special needs children to live their lives to the fullest. I hope you enjoy this book as much as I did.

Nola does an excellent job of reviewing Employment Laws in an easy to understand and concise manner. Human Resource departments could benefit by making sure every manager has this book and understands the content. They would save themselves a lot of time backtracking after the fact with when legal issues arise that could easily have been prevented.

This book does an excellent job of introducing the concept of asset protection and includes strategies to protect assets. A number of protection strategies are analyzed to show the pros and cons of each strategy. Examples and diagrams are shown to help communicate protection concepts. Past court cases for some of the protection asset strategies are discussed to show the pros and cons of the particular strategy. I would highly recommend this book to learn about how trusts, corporate entities, and other strategies can work to help the reader make a decision to protect their assets.

China's rapid economic growth and the resulting improvement in millions' living standards are impressive, even when achieved at the hopefully temporary cost of massive environmental degradation. Pan, however, reveals that there are other major, though hidden, costs - all involving various abuses of the Chinese people. Further, it is easy to imagine that if China's only leadership were less paranoid and had less of an authoritarian history these abuses could be substantially reduced without hurting its economic growth.
Pan first takes readers through China's troubled 20th century under Mao, starting with the 1957 "Hundred Flowers Movement" to encourage what he thought would be mild criticism. Instead, the surge of vitriolic responses ... Read More:

I bought this Bible for my EFM class. It was recommended and I'm glad it was. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it's so well annotated that sometimes it is distracting. It's best to read the chapters and verses first then the notes second.

The One Minute Manger was great but this title fell well short.
I was disappointed and will not add this book to my required reading
list for my direct reports.

Terror and Consent has opened my eyes and made me aware that warfare in the 21st century has changed drastrically. I picked up on this book when I heard Senator McCain claim he takes it everywhere. We no longer will be fighting nation states like China or Russia unless there is a huge miscalulation; rather we will be in conflict with market states; that is those states without borders where globalization has transformed war from nation states waging war against one another using conventional forces to "stateless forces" waging terror against civilans. Now I understand why double the military force in Iraq was needed. Not to win the battle but to win the peace and protect the populace from terror as we help them rebuild their society. This book is a hard, but ... Read More:
