I loved this movie! It is a touching story that shows that it's never too late to live life to its fullest. It was funny and at times sad, I hope it will make you stop and think about your own life.

Baby Boom
Great movie for a family night in or a couple looking for a movie to cuddle up to. Has many funny scenes and many that will touch your heart.
Definately a chick flick but not boring.

This movie is full of inspiration! I really liked the no nonsense, "take no prisoners" approach Joe Clark had to getting his school back into shape. What makes THIS movie superior to "Stand and Deliver" is that there's actually drama in this one. It shows just how tough inner city schools can be.

In these types of schools, the biggest problem is generally NOT whether or not they can pass a Calculus test... it's whether they can survive long enough to make it to the end of the school day!

In "Stand and Deliver" I kept waiting for some big event to take place (other than the passing of the test they took), but it never happened. "Lean on Me" was FULL of such scenes! Nonstop action!! Some scenes ARE violent, though, so be careful ... Read More:

The two films included on this disc are based on true stories of dedication and determination. These "against the odds" school dramas are very likable with memorable performance by both leads in each film. Both movies are presented in widescreen with very good DVD transfers.

The Good Things
*A lot of good special effects and action scenes (albiet the quality is noticably different).
*Filming style is good.
*Characters are good and deep. Good acting, once agian.
*Writing is not bad. Some good comedy, some good drama.
*Good music.

The Bad Things
*Pretty iffy storyline. I liked the idea and the fact that it is so grand. But most people seem to have a problem with it and other aspects (such as Spock having a half-brother who is so compassionate).

The Questionable Things
*It looks as though they tried to make it grittier, edgier, and more sleazy. It kind of works, but in a way, it may be too different.

When I first saw this movie years ago, I did not like it. Since then I saw it again and absolutely fell in love with Sidney. What happened to these type of actors today? Hardly any of them them except Paul Newman, and several others, have that type of quality that Sidney has. Maybe it is called 'paying their dues or practicing their craft'. Not sure what it is but this movie, was great.

Vice Squad is a great action movie from the 80's if you like shows like "The Shield". The movie stars a young "Wings Hauser"(Ramrod) and "Season Hubley"(Princess). Ramrod is a pimp in the dark streets of L.A. who kills one of his ladies of the evening (Ginger) who is friends with Princess. After speaking with the police, Princess is distraught over the death of her friend Ginger and agrees to set up Ramrod. The two battle it out in the means streets!! Check out this action thriller!!

I bought this movie for Joan Collins so I was very disappointed that she was in so little of it. Joan is as sexy as ever as Diane, the mother of a very unattractive swimmer but this movie is pretty much all about goofy teenage boys/wannabe rock stars obsessed with "getting laid". There is one sexy scene towards the end between Diane and Tommy. That's pretty much all this movie is good for.
