In this case, old is definitely better! I had seen this movie several times on TV, but had missed scenes that had been cut for commercials (i.e., fashion show in color, while the rest of the movie was in b&w). Although the new version of this movie is up-to-date in its views of women, the original was definitely more "catty." Also, the new version missed out on the triumphant face-to-face scene between the wife and the other woman at the end of the original. Finally, the scene in the new version, with Meg Ryan's character eating the stick of butter, contained a line that simply ruined the movie. I just dont have words to explain, the way my two years little boy has reacted ever since y got him this set of DVD'S,i think he has requested to wacht it over 10 times a week,and the reaction is the same al the time,i enjoy just to wacht him gigle and smile seing Elmo doing is best,i definetly recomend it to any Parents that would like to be able to do chores at home and the kids stay out of their way.

The story of Sleeping Beauty is a timeless classic. And the Disney version is my favorite overall. The demure Aurora is sweet, kind, and innocent and has a simple and understated beauty to her. Her song "Once Upon A Dream" is one of the most beautiful songs in the Disney songbook. The colors used in the film are stunning. And, last but never least, the villain Maleficent is one of the most evil Disney villains ever created with the blackest of hearts. I root for her every time I watch the movie. Who doesn't love someone who gets all mad and exacts revenge just because she's not invited to a party?! Talk about holding a grudge... She truly is the Mistress of All Evil.

Season 2 of the historical mini-series, "The Tudors" as absolutely amazing. Everything about the program is glorious from the three dimensional larger-than-life characters to the scenery and costumes and the wonderful acting. If you liked season one, you will love season two. Season two focuses on the politics of the reign of Henry VIII and the end of Anne Boleyn. One of the outstanding differences between the two seasons is that season two clears up the historical inaccuracies that were obvious in season one.

It wasn't too long ago that the new series of Doctor Who started up, and before that day, I had only heard of the show in passing. I gave it a shot, and coming from a clean slate, I found I loved the show and have been watching it even since. One of the things that really captivated me about the show was anything was possible. You could be watching an epic space battle one episode, then on to meeting Shakespeare in the next. All the while, the show delivers on comedy and even some drama, the show is definitely a step higher in that department from what I have heard and seen since I started watching this show compared to the original.

This was a beautifully scripted and produced movie with some of the greatest cinema talents of our generation. I received this product in perfect condition at a time when I needed it the most. What a wonderful remembrance of the late, great Paul Newman!

This movie stands in a class reserved for the best of best in western theme films. Based on the book by Larry McMurtry, "Horseman, Pass By", it also features a very credible performance by Brandon DeWilde as Lonnie, grown up from the little boy he once portrayed in another legend, the unforgettable "Shane" which was filmed about 10 years before. Lonnie worships Hud, who is his father's brother, and the realization that this man of his own blood is not of good character, is a concept too deep for him to grasp until the final turn of events mature him past his youth in the course of one day .
