I just wanted to clear up some confusion that many people have with this product. First of all, I ordered mine from Brilliantstore, and it seems like the different stores may have slightly different products. The plastic packaging that the cable came in clearly states that they are gold plated. Second, written right on the cable states "version 1.3 cable". I ordered two and they seem to work perfectly, as far as I can tell in 1080p.

I read some comments of people having problems with the memory card and their Blackberries. I ordered it anyway and it works just fine with mine. It's a 8320, I am not sure about other models though.

I purchased the 16GB version (Transcend 16GB SDHC CARD with Compact Card Reader) of this package a few months ago. The card was meant to be used in my Canon S5 camera. But I soon discovered that it works extremely well with the included card reader as an USB flash drive (much larger and faster than my SanDisk 4GB Cruzer Micro). So I ended up using it mainly for data backup and transfer between my laptop and desktop computers. The card has proven to be fast and reliable in the past 2-3 months of daily usage.

As first I was skeptical about Transcend's speed rating of 'class 6' (which means minimum 6MB/S in writing). But my own benchmark showed that this card is actually capable of writing at 11.5MB/S - nearly twice its specified minimum data transfer ... Read More:

why buy this anywhere but on amazon? this is brand new and its going for way under the retail price in many stores...a lil fyi for anyone who buys it also comes wit the sd adapter so dont pay for the more expensive one

This makes the 4th set of these I've purchased, extremely great 'value'. Are they the best money can buy? Maybe not, but for sure, not the worse. I find them comfortable, a better bass response than most, and did I mention a great value? Would I buy them again? You bet, in a heart beat. Out performs some I gave much more for.

This card is for special devices that take a super high capacity SD card. I don't think the description had sufficient disclaimer because most SD cards are universally compatible with one another.

Now I'm out $14, have a card I can't use, and of course I can't return it because my kid tore the package open before we realized the mistake. Amazon can do a better job to prevent this type of mistake.

A few of the other reviewers have mentioned that they didn't receive an authentic Transcend card reader with this 16gb SDHC card. I ordered mine from seller "Cameta Camera" and mine was in the real Transcend retail packaging which included the Transcend card and the Transcend card reader. The seller also shipped very fast. I have absolutely no complaints about the seller, this card, the price or it's performance. Files transfer to this card much faster than they transfer onto my SanDisk cruzer micro USB drives. I am using this in a Philips DVP5990 DVD player to play DivX videos through the USB 2.0 port on the front of the player.
