Panasonic DMP-BD35K 1080p Blu-ray Player

I had been looking for a blu ray player for some time, however the prices were just too high. Then I saw the Panasonic BD35K in one of my audio/video magazines. They gave it a great review and the price was $299. I went to Amazon and they had it for less than $250 so I ordered it on a Monday morning and received it on Thursday with no shipping charges. My receiver does not have an HDMI input or output so I connected the player directly to my 55 inch 1080P SONY SXRD TV using the HDMI port and I connected the digital optical audio out on the player to my receiver. The people I talk to hear me...clearly. There is no feed back[can't hear what I'm saying] when connected to the Panasonic KX-TG1033S hand set. Takes a little while to get used to...but it's a very good product.

The picture the BD55 player puts out along with the sound quality will blow you away. There is no downside to this player. I never knew my Sony HDTV could look so good.

I bought this camera in lieu of spending the extra money on a digital SLR. I had several reasons for this, not the least of which being the fact that digital SLRs add so many new features and enhancements to their quality each year while dropping in price. The notion of investing a good $700 or more on something that will be quickly replaced by a much more powerful model within only a year or two just didn't sit well with me. So in my search for something to get me a step up from totally novice point and shoot photography, the superzooms looked like a good option. I will eventually purchase a digital SLR, but my advice to anyone who is uncertain if they're willing to part with that much money just yet is to wait it out. Was extremely pleased with the Panasonic Dect 6.0 answering system. It works where others had failed and it is so convenient not to have to get up and get the phone in the other room. It's terrific.

Panasonic Dect 6.0 Series 3 Handset Cordless Phone System with Answering System (KX-TG1033S)

We bought these to replace a 3-4 year old VTech dual set that had dead spots in our house and to add a unit. The Panasonic with Dect 6.0 solved the dead zone issue and seems to have great range inside and outside. In the deal, we also got: (1) better sound quality, (2) a lighter phone, (3) bigger buttons, (4) an decent sounding speaker phone, (5) erasing missed calls on one unit does it on all three, (6) longer battery life. Only negatives going thru more menus to erase (but that is more than offset by #5) and we didn't like the wall mount. Since we have voicemail I haven't used the answering machine, but am considering going to that for ease of use and ability to hear message being left and interrupt if desired. We are very pleased with this phone system.

Panasonic RP-HC500 Noise-Canceling Headphones

I just received these today and I think they sound pretty darn good. I sit in my cubicle under the air conditioner which is roaring pretty good and with the music playing cannot hear the air conditioning at all. Without music, I hear a faint hissing sound.

The circumaural earcups are a little small and I have medium to small sized ears. I have to wiggle the headphones to get them off my ear lobes. When I do that my left hand touches near the noice cancellation microphone. The way I understand it, the microphone takes the sound and then applies an opposite soundwave to the sample to cancel out the ambient noises. So when I interfere with that, it squeaks in a quite annoying way. Though in normal usage, I doubt I will hear it much.

We purchased the Panasonic phone system about a month ago and are very pleased with the features and more importantly, the performance of the phones. The four handsets are conveniently scattered about the house and the audible caller ID prevents us from having to look at the phone to know who is calling. The computer generated voice and pronunciation leave a little to be desired but is still a good feature.

Would recommend this phone set as a definite"BUY".
