Transcend TS-RDS6W SD/MMC/XD Card Reader

No real issues with this reader. My only complaint, which I know most other multi-card readers also have is that it can take while to figure out exactly how to insert the smaller cards it supports. The card will go in a several ways but only one way will actually work.

Transcend TS16GCF133 16GB 133x Compact Flash Card

I needed a much larger storage Medium for my FujiFilm FinePix S9600 Camera, and this was a very inexpensive way to buy 16 Gs. Though My Camera allows for a smaller sized card, I like the compact Flash for its durabiliy.

After checking online to see which card was the best to buy, I found these at Amazon for half the price! They work as well as the review article described and I am entirely happy with performance and price! Shipping time could have been better, but overall, great deal!

I use this with the Canon EOS 40D and it works perfectly with all functions, including continuous shooting. Massive storage for long trips or shooting sessions. People argue not to put all your eggs in one basket and to buy several smaller cards. I think this is bunk! If these cards work to begin with they will continue to work unless damaged by the user. This is only going to happen outside the camera or while inserting and removing, so switching smaller cards frequently will only increase your chances of damage!

Transcend 32GB ExpressCard SSD, MLC

Unfortunately, it wasn't until after I had bought this, tried it, and found how slow it is that I investigated the general issue of ExpressCard speed. Now I know that I made a mistake since the slot affords very slow transfer speeds with cards from any brand. For instance, a 7.7 GB file that I can transfer to a relatively slow 2.5 inch external USB hard drive in about six minutes takes about 26 minutes to transfer to this card (using a MacBook Pro). According to many reader posts to web discussions, USB memory sticks are also much faster than ExpressCard SSDs like this one. If speed is at all a consideration then you probably will be dissatisfied with this or any memory card that uses the ExpressCard slot.
