AT&T SL82318 DECT 6.0 Digital Three Handset Answering System (Silver/Gray)

I've had these AT&T phones for a few months now and so far I have not been disappointed. I am not a person who is going to use all of the features of the phone, but for basic phone service, this definitely does good. I don't have caller ID, I don't use speed dial, and we don't use the intercom at all, so I won't be reviewing those features.

What I like the best about this is that no matter where I am in the house or in the yard, it sounds like I'm on a land line. I have no static whatsoever, and I have a wireless network going in my house. Neighbors on all sides also have their own networks, and there's no interference at all. Don't like this product but I decided to keep it as I'm not sure what you expect for the price (cheap). I suppose the saying "you get what you pay for" fits here. I will make a better decision next time.

AT&T 1856 Corded Speakerphone with Digital Answering System (White)

The speaker works great so does the embedded mic. It's really convenient to have those three direct dial keys on the left side of the key pad. Now all my family members can call mine cell without remember them at all. The only thing I think it needs to improve is the display brightness. I can't see it well if the surrounding light is not bright enough, especially during the night.

AT&T 993 Corded 2-Line Speakerphone

The Speakerphone worked reasonably well for the first month then started "clipping" and missing some of the words at all volume levels. The rest of the phone works as advertised but I guess there are not really good corded phones at any price.

I picked this phone because it was top-rated by Consumer Reports. The sound quality is very good and free of interference, as would be expected of a DECT 6.0 phone. In addition, the range seems considerably greater than my previous cordless phone. The buttons are easy to use, and the phone/base are compact. There are a few drawbacks to this unit. It is wall-mountable, but the back contains a bracket that tends to slide off during the mounting process. Moreover, the holes don't quite align with the standard pegs for mounting, so the base is a little precarious when mounted. A second problem is that there is no speed dialing. After getting this item I have experienced nothing but
crystal clear
conversations
and al the added features makes it more enjoyable. Best phone I've gotten from AT^T.

I'm a serious techie - I don't NEED a phone that'll bond with my cell phones and let me make calls through them...a phone that'll let me assign a different [pre-loaded] picture or ringer for people in my phone book...a phone that glows and looks like the most modern remote the wife has ever seen with a beautiful color display, while having all the functionality I ask for in a digital cordless/answering machine.

I don't need it, but I seriously crave it, so I bought it. I'm completely satisfied. If forced to come up with a complaint, it would be that the display in the base unit is a bit crooked - like it wasn't mounted correctly inside. No biggie though...if it bothers me enough I'll rip it apart.

I bought this to replace another cordless phone that had outlived its expected timespan by about 5 years. This one is easy to use and the sound is great, as a matter of fact I find it almost too loud at the lowest volume setting. So far, so good.
