I purchased this retail for about $300 over 3 years ago and the only thing I regret is not getting it sooner. Prior to this nifty little device I had amassed in excess of 20 speeding tickets in about 7 years. TX decided to switch to a points system so I couldn't just keep paying to play as they say. I have always owned a radar detector.. had windows broken for the higher end ones which BTW the discreet look of this detector (and JAMMER) plus the fact that [expletive]ing car thieves don't know about them keep your windows in tack.

So how many moving violations have I received since the RMR-C450 in the last 3 years? Only one, for running a red light and well the cop didn't need the radar gun on for that one :)

Pioneer AVIC-F700BT In-Dash Navigation Audio/Video Receiver with CD Playback and Advanced Voice Controls

I installed this indash navi almost 2 months ago. It works good and every thing is OK. The Ipod cable is a must although it takes the unit around 5 minutes to play from the ipod.

The navigation system is not very hard to get used to it but still it's not like the easy user frindly interface of GARMIN.

A few quick words: Works great; more options than I've yet discovered (using it on my AT&T Tilt). Two issues:

- The map redraw when not in "navigation mode" is a bit slow.
- Sometimes the route is recalculated for no apparent reason.

Minor nitpicks; otherwise, I like it a lot.

I had used Escort radar detectors exclusively for 15 years and thought they were the best detectors for the price. Earlier this year, however, I used an Escort 8500 X50 for a lengthy driving trip and found it just barely adequate.

I had a 5K mile driving trip to take a few weeks ago so I took a chance on this unit. I'm so glad I did. What a great product! The performance of this unit BLOWS the Escort 8500 X50 out of the water. I mean blows it right out of the water. I got warnings with this unit WAY before I needed them, whereas I got them just in time with the 8500. Escort Solo S2 Cordless Radar and Laser Detector

I purchased this earlier this year expecting to use it on a 400 mile drive to vegas. The radar arrived two days late and so I had so make the drive literally solo. Since then I have been using it everyday and realize that speed traps today are just not as common. The one time getting off the freeway I did almost fall into a trap, the Solo came through and gave me a different sounding strong warning. This ticket saved purchased my Escort solo but honestly unless you live around a lot of traps just slow down, save gas and then maybe we can get fuel prices back down under 1 buck.

Pioneer GEX-P920XM XM Satellite Tuner

I was really tired of the cheesy little XM receiver that I had - it clipped on to the vent and had three wires (antenna, power, and sound to the head unit). It was time to change.

My Pioneer DEH-P980BT is Satellite Radio ready and this unit is compatible. So I ordered it and installed it. It was just as easy to install as the cheesy unit and has the added benefit of being hidden away, and integrated into the display of my Pioneer Head Unit.

What I had not counted on was the improvement in sound quality. Even directly wired through the AUX connection of my stereo, the cheesy XM radio had some sound limitations. With FM Modulation (wired or wireless), it was horrid. The GEX-P920XM puts all that behind you!

I bought this hoping to use it with my archos 630 video player. Sadly it doesn't even add more than 30 mins of playback time. Its made for less demanding electronics like phones, pda's etc... I wouldn't use this for portable dvd players or video players. Its rated draw power is about 350 mah.
