Ive had this detector for a year now. It is a lifesaver. Again last night, it saved me from a California Highway Robber sitting in a roadside shadow at night with all his lights off (dangerous!) but his Ka radar on, hunting those of us coming home from honest jobs.

I was going 10 over traffic, which prolly means 20 over the govt signage. Perfectly safe, do it twice a day every day. Granted you dont get much warning with Ka guns having such a tight spread, but Ive trained myself to grab the brakes and start brushing off speed reflexively when I hear my little detector warn me of danger.

It was just enough time, and I cruised right past the thief. He'll have to rob someone else.

The gps system works great. It is easy to navigate and find destinations. I use it mainly for long trips, but I dont use it as much as I could because sometimes I just keep driving around instead of pulling out my computer when I am in unfamilliar place. It is better than the handheld devices but a little less convenient.

* Cobra XRS 9640 - As being a 1st time user, I read many reviews on different websites, for different models..& also saw to my friend who was using similar item since last 2-years, then i purchased this model.... as it has all bands detection.

* However, I don't drive faster since many years...but sometime when i need to reach on time/earlier (like as getting late for airport)... then my speed goes little higher to 10-20 miles than normal limit...so i think it is good alert system for me in those kind of situations.

* I would appreciate to COBRA manufacturers to provide better & better equipment & I would like to recommend it for other customers too.

HIGH POWER DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR 2 WIRE

Cheap and easy replacement for aftermarket power door lock conversions. After 6 years my initial actuators wore out and I got one of these to replace it. Works perfect, easy to install with the included bracket. Only downside is that the wires were shorter than my original so I had to splice in some extra wire to hook it up. Not a big problem but longer wires would have been nicer. Also make sure you wire them the right way, otherwise you will be unlocking your door when you think you are locking it. With only two wires, you have a 50% chance of guessing right the first time.

I now need to replace the other door's actuator 6 months later, should have just ordered two at the same time.

Amazon doesn't show the connection plug.
Assuming Terk hasn't upgraded their design from the one I have, the quality is very poor. My plug is not solid; rather, it is a circle of thin flanges, which quickly break.

This is the absolute best 2DIN unit money can buy. It is very fast. Boots up in around 10 seconds to full interface. The button response time is instant. It's great speed and stability comes from it's linux foundation.

On top of the great responsiveness of the unit, it just has way too many features to list. From sound enhancement/adjustment, to bluetooth, expansion options... etc.

This unit simply just works, it does everything it sets out to do very well.

As far as the comments about the Garmin navigation of this unit, I find the Garmin nav very fast in catching the satellites. The nav has glitched or had a problem. Although, I did update my nav software to the latest from Garmin's website.

The true answer to if this is a great product or not is yes, it is. I have read some of the other comments and people complain about the set up that has your radio not directly connected to your radio, basically this is the cheap way out. For the best result, you spend more money--bottom line! It is like 70 dollars to install it at best buy. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and get it professionally installed. it is money well spent! You will hate regular radio. Plus, XM and and Sirius will officially have plans for more radio channels by the end of summer '08. It will be great!
