I used this to power my HP Pavillion PC. It worked for about 5 minutes, then the fan ran very loudly (as mentioned in another review) for about 3 minutes, then there was a loud pop and it was dead! There is no reset button or consumer accessible fuse. I had owned it for 4 days. It worked well for an 8 hour trip when it was powering a small DVD player, but I can't recommend it for anything that draws much power at all.

I have 2 of these and they both work well. Simple, no bells or whistles. If you want to be able to pause or rewind, look elsewhere. Got XM into my car for about $20. I pay for one subscription and move player from one car to another. So I maximize my XM expense. FYI - if you have never had XM they do have some commercials - which surprised me. Still, as long as you get a good signal, XM is really nice - especially if you live where local stations play stuff you do not like. I have had no problems with this unit. Easy to install in any car. I left the XM antannae inside my car on the dash to avoid issues with car wash. I just pull the clip off of the outside antannae when I wash car. Everything I needed to get going was in this kit.

Bulldog Keyless Entry System

Have used Bulldog products before and have been very pleased. I bought this keyless entry to replace one that have been in my car for years. The first one I bought worked great with a very good range. This one you have to be about two feet away from auto before it will activate. Guess each unit is different. Not sure I will buy another bulldog system. But for the price it is not a great loss even if it doesn't work the best.
I gave it a 3 star just for range issue.

This is great if you are the type of person that likes playing DVD's in the car or loves new and distracting technology putting you and your love ones in danger. I recommend that if you get this thing let somebody else operate it and you pay attention to the road.

Bulldog Remote Starter

I have had this unit intsalled in my vehicle for 4 years now. I am a mechanic and bought the extra install kit for my pickup to help with installation and ti worked but the range was about 10 feet max. Now it has started to keep my starter engaged and has ruined 2 starters and a battery in my pickup and I cannot get a real person to answer the help line to give any information or warrenty info!!!! They are junk units, spend the extra cash and get a real unit that has a customer service on this planet.

Valentine One Radar Detector

It really depends on your needs on what radar detector you need to get. I have a Valentine One (V1 for short) and absolutely love it.

My take on higher end RD's: the V1 detects the best and has the arrows (rear antenna). Belscort (BEL+Escort same company) tries to make up for this by adding features, which are pretty cool, but can't use the patented arrows of the V1. So the V1 is great but if you have tons of false alarms in your area (busy city) and can't stand them I would go with the more feature rich Escort 9500 or BEL GX65. And if you live in VA or D.C. (or drive a big rig truck) the BEL Sti Driver is the only way to go. So you can't really go wrong with any Belscort or the V1.
