The Garmin Streetpilot C340 is a very nice product, especially for the price. The text to speech feature is wonderful, the maps are clear and easy to read, and the touch screen is easy to use. It is very easy to set up, just plug into the computer for the initial set up and charge, and then it is ready to go. The preloaded destinations are plentiful, although not as up-to-date as I would have liked. However, I've talked to other people with different GPS systems from other makers, and this is a common problem. I have been a GPS user for many years, originally the Garmin GPS V and more recently the Navigon 5100. I originally got a gps for hiking, but have found it invaluable for driving navigation while at home and while traveling. Once live traffic info became available at a reasonable price (lifetime on the Navigon 5100), I got that, but have found it disappointing, because that live traffic service is way too vague and incomplete, generally ignoring anything off-freeway, which is most of my driving.

The Dash service is what makes this gps unique, due to being connected and user-configurable:

This product was advertised as new, when I received this item it was not complete. The unit was shipped in an envolpe with a small amount of bubble wrap. There was no power cord,cup or case. I requested a refund and have not heard from this individual. He did state that he listed the missing items in the comments section. My question to him was it new or an open unit. I do not check the comments for missing part on a new item. This buyer should be ban from your site for false advertisment. I would never purchase an item from bestbuys again.

Output voltages on this unit are 2.5V and 1.5V. Neither voltage is enough to charge the Razr. The Razr charger is rated at 5.0V. Before you assume this low-voltage charger will work with your device, check the output of the charger it came with (or the input requirement listed in the owner manual). I suspect it would have trouble charging myriad USB devices. Kensington's 4-port USB charger costs nearly $30 but it puts out the full 5V at 2.0 amps; that's the one I'm buying to replace this mistake. Kensington K38035US 4-Port USB Charger for Mobile Devices

The greatest thing for the wrong turn person. I wonder though how it chooses it's routes sometime. When it tells you to make a right and you know that the left is quicker. But then, I use it when I need to go somewhere new. It is even better now that I upgraded the maps. ($70.00) It will be in my car forever.

I am going to write a quick review. I first would like to mention that I have seen many Nav systems over the years. Way back when I was part of developing the portable Nav systems for in the car. This unit is nice and functions as described. The POIs are great and routes well ... but ... the user interface is not good. They don't display importan information and the menu system is hard to navigate through. They strongly lack in this area, I would recommend you try one in a local store first or consider some of the other models such as Mio Technology, iNav Corp, etc.

Delphi SA10102 SKYFi2 Vehicle Adapter Kit

I bought this for traveling in a rural NW Washington area (Kitsap peninsula). The kit isn't very expensive and so there is good value here. Some caveats - trees and mountains do interfere with signal. It works just fine in the city of Seattle area. Also, using the cassette deck adaptor, be sure to use the control on the separate receiver module to reduce the output (it's in the XM menu) else it overpowers the cassette function very easily. I've got it on one bar, would like to go lower. Lastly, it's kind of hard to hide for antitheft purposes and the vent mount system allows it to slip a bit. But fine for occasional use like a road trip. I'd buy it again for that sort of purpose.

If you're an XM junkie and just have to have your XM where ever you wander in your house, then you need this, and a bunch of home cradles for your reciever of choice. It allows you to place a single antenna for best reception, and rebroadcast thet signal throughout the house. Not sure what the range is, but it worked ok in a small house for a friend.

nice unit for the amount paid, worked well on 2000 mile trip, easy to read,picked up most of the alerts including emergency vehicles. compass is nice also for backroading on u.s. highways.
came in pleanty of time to get set on dash,and make adjustments. i have paid more for less in the past, this ones a keeper

I bought this to replace my existing Xact boombox account with my Sportster account. I wanted to save a few pennies each month and believe Xact products and support are junk.

Pluses: It looks great, classy. I could use my iPod on it. All definite pluses.

Minus are more: The sound is so-so. The boombox had great base and resonated nicely. This, which uses an electrostatic technology, is very crisp, but lacks base. I'm still tinkering with the sound quality adjustments, but it is a noticeable variance.
