The unit is nice looking and fit nicely in my car. However after a couple of alignments, the unit continued to give erroneous reading especially while stopped at a traffic light. Perhaps the power lines were affecting it.

I have had 2 vehicles that had a compass built in and there was no erratic opertion with those units.

I returned the unit to Amazon.com and got a full refund. I was pleased with Amazon's service. Tim Brown

The re-conditioned Geko 301 is indistinguishable from a new one. We use it in our land-surveying business in conjunction with National Geographic TOPO! to find section corners and quarter-corners. I've also used it with great results when sailing in a small vessel that lacked a compass and speedometer.

It is a nice little GPS for the money. It is a bit too small but gives the best verbal directions of the three GPS's I have, Cobra, Naveman and Garman.

Suunto X6HR Heart Rate Wrist-Top Computer Watch with Altimeter, Barometer, and Compass

I wear my X6HR in a regular environment (office, home), nothing near extreme condition. However, in less than a year, I foung the rubber band of the heart monitor is broken in many placed and the rubber became brittle with many hairline cracks. This is clearly a quality issue with the material used for the watch. In a trip to the Keys, FL, I found that the little rubber ring that holds the band of the watch in place broke in two piece much like what happed to the heart rate monitor band. The band itself also has many small cracks. I am sure the band will break in half sooner or later. The LCD on the watch also became fuzzy when I wear it around beaches. This is supposed to be a watch that you can bring to an expedition, yet it failed miserably ... Read More:

My son realy wanted this, becouse my brother has one. I use the 60CSX however and did not research enough before buying the one he wanted. This is a very good kit. Good price and exceptional quality. However none of my computers have RS-232 ports. I did not to think about looking at the connector, becouse I am so use to mine having USB. So I spent $50 and got the adapter, this did not help alot though. We can see the device almost every time, but most of the time it will fail its data uploads. So far I have not come up with a good solution. Once you do get it to upload however it works well. 1) User Manual hard to follow

I should of known it was too good to be true. This product, and the so-called help from the manufacturer is a joke. I can't get my money back for this sub-standard product, but I can sure write a review that will maybe save someone elses hard earned money. The back-up camera was the first thing that didn't work. Had a person that installs them for a living try to install it, and even HE couldn't get it to work! The company REFUSED to replace the camera! The GPS system itself, is completely outdated in regards to the maps. Fifty percent of the addresses that I try to enter will not work, no matter HOW they are entered.
