Ok, I have had this unit for over two years. As stated before, yes I had freezing problems and it would reset and loose all the previous places I had been. I tried many times to upgrade the firmware to no avail and did spend countless hours on the phone with the India service center where I feel I knew more about a simple computer than the guy/girl on the other line.

Thank GOD I had an extended service program with the store chain I brought it from and they fixed it for me. Hope the map update goes a lot smoother.

The Unit now runs great and instead of the 5 seconds to turn the unit off now it's just two. Just wish they had a smaller mounting arm as the OEM one is too long which is funny that the new guys say theirs ... Read More:

Lowrance iFinder Go2 GPS - Red

This is my second Lowrance GPS. The iFINDER Go2 is a good gps for the money. It picked up the sattelites quickly including WAAS. Excellent battery life. Easy to use but the screen could be bigger. I would buy another GPS from Lowrance.

The features are OK, but the maps are terrible. The manufacturer said if I wanted updated maps it would cost $100 more and they would not say if they were correct. I cannot see this in a unit that is 1 month old! The roads that I have seen that are wrong in the unit are correct on a Hagstrom map dated 2000!
My friend,s Magellan unit has all the correct maps and was only $50 more!

It's a modern marvel. It's an incredibly reliable product. Easy to use. Fun to have. I use it mostly when traveling, for reviewing my routes and geo-tagging pictures I take.

Remember some 10 years ago you had to buy a separate GPS for planes? Not any more. I always leave it on on a plane and later review the flight. Exciting!

At ~$100 it's a steal. Some 10+ friends got one following my recommendation. No one is disappointed.
