Apparently this consumer didn't look at the instruction book. All of this exists on the Tomtom Rider 2.

I love this GPS, so much in fact it goes everyplace I do. Bought it for geocaching, now I use it to track my workouts or to give me driving directions. It works better than the Navi I have in my car, I have tested both and the handheld unit beats the car everytime.

GARMIN eTrex Vista C Handheld GPS

I've had this unit for nearly two years now and it has been my tag-along companion everywhere I've been (including outside the country).

The good:
Color graphics.
Easy to use.
Neat barometric pressure readings / altimeter.
Enough memory storage for 1 very large city, or several medium size cities. (I live in Memphis, and I can store much of the surrounding area plus another city or two.)
Small, lightweight, and easy to pocket.
Rugged construction, though I've never been hard on it.
10+ hours of battery life, don't really know how long it will really run since I first used rechargeable NIMH that lasted about 8 hours.

I have been using my skycaddie for two seasons. Last month the plug would not screw into the unit and I couldn't charge it. I called tech support and they said that I could either send it back and they would replace it or apply scotch tape to hold the plug in. I opted to send it in. They received it 8/8/08 and as of today 9/5/08 I have not heard from the company. They say I just have to wait my turn. Bad support :sad: and bad design. The connection should not be a small screw that can strip easily. They should consider a re-design with a USB plug. I have found the unit helpful but on our course there are about 4 holes where the distances are 10-15 yards off and the unit occasionally freezes forcing me to reset it by opening the back ... My Drive 140 came without the 2 Gb SD chip in the box. Customer support would not send me one. I had to supply my own SD chip and am now in the process of downloading maps from Pharos website - three per day limit! The GPS is underpowered so the display lags behind real-time - if you are using it to navigate to a location you can easily miss a turn. All in all, I'm very disappointed with the product, but even more with the customer support.

Suunto Vector Wrist-Top Computer Watch with Altimeter, Barometer, Compass, and Thermometer (Yellow)

I got a vector 3 years ago and was very pleased with it most of the time. The altimiter is not very useful because it is based off barometric pressure so your reading will vary wildly and you need to keep resetting it. The big flaw with this watch is that in 3 years the face has broken twice. The first time the bezel broke off. Luckly it was still under warranty and they replaced it. Now the faceplate has cracked and is letting moisture in. I don't use the watch for any crazy sports, it's just my everyday watch so the fact that it is broken astounds me. Sunnto have a minimum $85 repair charge, which could go up, so at this stage I'm bowing out with two watch failures in 3 years.
