Okay, so I am the woman that is always lost. I have lived in the same area my whole life, but if I get turned around, I am hopeless. I started a new job about a year ago where I would be seeing clients all over Los Angeles County, and I knew I was in trouble. I bought a TomTom, and I can't express how much of a stress relief it has been! I have driven many many places, and it has only been wrong (slightly, and I quickly figured out the problem) twice. I spent a long time researching which GPS to purchase, and I am definitly happy with TomTom. No more Mapquest when I need to go somewhere, I can just hop in my car, input the address, and off I go!
Some of the inputing takes getting use to - i.e. you put the city name first, ... Read More:
This GPS gets the basics done, and belive me I am glad to have it if I get lost, but it does lack on its mapping and finding a location/business. I know for instance when searching for a Walmart when one was close by, it wasn't able to locate it or direct me to it, and it was not a recent build, it was a location that has been around for over a decade.
I first tried the TomTom One 3rd edition, and although it worked rather well, it did not have spoken street names, a feature that I find very important. I returned it and ordered the TomTom One 130S since it seemed like a good price for the features offered. I noted that some of the earlier reviews were not favorable, but that the later reviews seemed to indicate that problems had been fixed, so I took the chance. Big mistake. This model should never have left the drawing board. Although this model has the "text to speech" feature that provides the spoken street names, the voice is so indistinct that it is difficult to distinguish "turn left" from "turn right" even when the volume is up all the way. After more research, I decided to order the Garmin ... Read More:
Installed this product in trunk of car. Installation was painless and only difficulty was finding an "always on" electrical line. Product came with sufficient material and wire length for installation into most locations. Product seemed real inconsistent first 24 hours it was turned on, I was almost to the point of considering returning it when it suddenly seemed to "sync up" and has been rock steady since. Not sure why this is but power cycling it a couple times may have done the trick. Otherwise works exactly as advertised but purchasers should be aware:
Notification of entry or exit from a custom zone may be up to 15 minutes delayed, since product only polls location every 15 minutes. When you do get notification it does report location ... Read More:

I recently purchased the Sonocaddie XV2, and I love it. There are absolutly no membership fees, all of the courses I play were mapped and available for download except for one (which was a short par-3 9-hole course that I was able to map myself very easily), and their customer service was great the one time I had to use them. It's not in color, but definitely does its job.
I upgraded to the 60CS after my M4 cracked the screen on my Etrex while out marking UXO (unexploded ordnance). This is a great little GPS that is easy to use and highly accurate. A few of us had and used them all over Iraq while escorting convoys and running patrols. Choose your own icons to mark checkpoints, the latest IEDs you encounter, small arms fire, etc. Then when you get back to base, share your points with your buddies by just uploading them onto your computer. It is much easier to use than the crap the Army gives you. Its nice to have something that works when your life depends on it.
One down side is that you cannot get a signal through the ballistic glass on a Humvee. You have to buy the external antenna. If you're out on a foot patrol ... Read More:
At least one dishonest Amazon vendor (Buy Accessories) is selling overhauled/refurbished units as new. Play it safe and only buy from Amazon itself.
Other than that, it looks great; have not used it yet. Buy a USB emergency battery charger for longer trips. APC has several good ones:

1st set Amazon sent was a disappointment. The unit intermittently went off by itself, during road use/usb connection to pc.
Amazon was kind enough to send me a replacement set pretty expediently and the 2nd unit has worked like a gem. This is my 3rd Garmin GPS.
My loss is the freight I because delivery charges to Singapore, Asia!
