This is a basic door knob alarm. The idea is that you hang it over the inside of a door and when the door opens, the vibration sensor will set off the alarm. The alarm has two settings - an incredibly loud wail to scare away intruders and wake sleeping residents and a quieter but still reasonably loud chime to announce that the door has been opened. (The second alarm is about as loud as a loud doorbell).

We got this for our toddler's room, in order to alert us when she got out of bed. After a few weeks, we took it off. When it worked, it was fine, but about 50% of the time, she opened the door gently enough that the alarm didn't go off. Caution - The extension wire I received has male connectors on both ends.

The package and advertisement shows male & female but this is not the case. I had to buy a connector to use this cable as an extension.

I could not give more than 2 star rating because the product received was
not what was advertised.

The extension will work OK after you buy a connector.

Q-See QPD308 is a decent camera for its price.
My only dissatisfaction with this product is that the LEDs emit a visible red light. When put next to a window, which was my intention, the LEDs reflect off the glass surface which makes it impossible to see anything.
When tested in the house it worked fine but that wasn't what I bought the camera for.
The quality of the picture is very good when tested on a 8" LCD display.

I bought this camera after an incident at my house while I was at work. Luckily a neighbor witnessed the incident and helped me recover damages, but I realized that I needed something to watch over my property when I was not at home.

This camera has proven to be a great match for my needs. I have it set up to record to my computer hard drive. It sends me email alerts when it detects motion in the covered video area, which is my driveway. I can easily review the video of anyone who drives down my driveway and what they do in front of my house.

The video quality is great, you can read license plates very easily, and can take snapshots from the videos or export the files to avi format.

I'm not fully impressed with this product. For the money spent I expected better quality. Nighttime picture quality is fuzzy, though daytime is very clear. Batteries don't last long. Back clip broke off easily and now I have to prop up the monitor with something else to view. At night it puts off quite a bit of light so I wouldn't recommend it if you need complete darkness to sleep.

Swann Bulldog Security Camera

I installed this camera on the roof in September 2007, and it still performs well after a hard winter. The specs say it will work down to 32 degrees (f), but if worked well even though we had numerous days below zero. it never seemed to be bothered by the brutal winds or temps.

The camera had exposure to snow and rain, and more snow, and now rain rain rain rain and freezing rain!

the camera is shielded from the north wind, and sits approx 3 feet under a small overhang, but the lens of the cam is not protected by this overhang.

I recommend this camera for security recordings. Picture quality is good, night recordings are good. My application has low level street lighting which provide enough light to give me a clear picture ... Read More:

BOUGHT 2 CAMERAS BUT ONE WOULD NOT WORK. INFO SAID BATTERY HAD TO BE CHANGED EVERY 6 WKS WHICH I DID NOT WANT TO DO BECAUSE CAMERA WAS GOING TO BE MOUNTED ON TOP OF BUILDING AND NOT EASY ACCESS. ALSO DID NOT SEEM TO BE MADE OF QUALITY MATERIAL TO WITH STAND THE FLORIDA WEATHER. BOTH WERE RETURNED.

I have done several research comparing the wireless doorbells before I decided to buy this one. I bought this wireless doorbell chime because it had some nice features that I can set the volume at my own level (low, medium, or high). Beside that, I can set the ring tone (sound, light, or sound + light). The receiver used 2 AA battery and the transmitter used one 12V battery. It also came with a stand that I can set it on the table or on the shelf. It is very compact and useful. I just set it on top of my shelf and this doorbell is very easy to operate. I can change the new code if I like. Anyway, I really loved this doorbell.
