This interface plugs into the same jack as the headset and not the main line. At first this was confusing. However, once I figured that out all went well. The sound quality was as good as the phone receiver and it was easy to use with my laptop computer. For the cost, this was an unbeatable solution to the problem of recording meetings in an efficent and easy way.

I purchased these for a bathroom & hallway in which my 'tween boys constantly leave the lights on. I like the fact that it cannot be left on indefinitely without occasional motion and it has to be turned on each time. It also acts as a timer in the bathroom -- I told my son who likes long showers, when the lights go out, his shower time is up. Very nice. For the hallway, which has 2 switches in 3-way, I had to buy another Leviton switch (the VZ0SR) to get it to work, but that wasn't a big deal. These are perfect if you want manual control each time vs. auto on, which these do not do. Leviton & Cooper both make cheaper versions for automatic-on functionality. I bought this camera not for your typical surveillance use. We have an out of control Halloween party each year and i thought that this would be the best way to add a level of sophistication to the party.

My intentions were to mount in on the back deck so that the partygoers inside could keep an eye on the activities that were going on in the backyard and catch some debacherous action. In the end I mounted it to a helmet and plugged the camera into a portable battery, Instant Partycam! IT worked great and was the hit of the party! The wearer could go anywhere in the house while the tv in the main room displayed a POV of a drunk haunter!!

Highly recommended!

Terk VS-4 S-Video/Video/Audio Switch Selector (4 Inputs, 2 Outputs)

The switch is very light and cheap. Feels like a 100% mechanical operation, no electronics. The click it makes when a button is pressed is rather loud. But the bottom line, I've used this switch for about 1 month and not had a single problem, Straight forward installation. Note: If you plan to use the s-video, your t.v might not display any other inputs which use standard A/V jacks with the s-video cord connected between the switch and the t.v.

I have installed this camera in order to monitor my newborn in his crib mainly so that I can hear him when I'm not in the bedroom and he needs my help.

The installation was very easy -- took me only 10 minutes. The web-based interface is not as decked out, but very easy-to-use. After installing a small ActiveX Control, it immediately works with my Internet Explorer 6.5. I was even able to create different user accounts so that my son's not-as-tech-savvy grand parents and uncles/aunts can view him live from Taiwan and West Coast. It's been up and running for several weeks and no previously reported bugs have been found. I guess they updated the firmware/software.
