First the price is incredible. The smell is fantastic. My cupboard smells great all the time. The flavor is intense. Strong and irrsistable. What I usually get for two here, I got sixteen online. Just GREAT quality. The beans are dark and long. The flavor is exceptional.

I first found these magnificent Madagascar Vanilla Beans on David Lebovitz's web site that links to his Amazon store! I ordered one, then two, and more. I have given the web address to countless people, so they too can place an order. I have people who know people, who know people, emailing asking where they can order this fabulous product at such a great price. I place an empty bean pod into a canister of sugar and use it when I need just a hint of that marvelous vanilla taste. The beans are a treasure on their own, flavoring everything better. I've been having terrible cravings for Ginger and you wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find decent 'Crystalized Ginger' 'round these parts. The candied ginger I've found at the local grocery store could have been plain ol' sugar cubes for all it's worth. You couldn't taste the ginger and the texture... just horrible. This ginger however is AMAZING! Great sweetness with a good balance of 'spiciness' thrown in. You can definately taste the ginger in these sugared goodies!

I bought these vanilla beans a while ago when they were on sale. They came fresh and fragrant and is a wonderful addition to my baking! I keep them in the ziplock baggie that it came with in a air-tight glass container and it is still fresh. I would not recommend buying them at full price as they are a bit expensive. Also, [...] started carrying vanilla beans so it you can, buy it there for less.

I have tasted a few different vanillas from Mexico but Molina beats them all so far. Common vanillas sold on the grocery shelves taste like rubbing alcohol. I have tasted some pure vanillas and they also taste like cheap low grade alcohol.

Get this vanilla if you want your baked goods to taste at their best.

This is a good spice to use in place of black pepper. For me it hit all the notes of pepper and adds more with some mild background flavors.

I used this in my Hungarian Goulash recipe instead of sweet paprika and the depth of flavor was incredible. I've since used it on roasted potatoes and roast pork tenderloin. Give it a try!
