Ah, for a cup of steaming, hot tea, not too strong, from my favorite loose tea....oh, no, not the strainer, again! No, not with this little item. Pinch the 2 sides together to open the two sided spoon, scoop out as much or little tea as you want, and let the sides go to close it up. Insert infuser in cup, pour hot water over it, and savor the aroma as you wait for it to steep. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and surely beats straining the leaves out of the tea before drinking it.

The best green tea I've had, and at such a good price! I thought $25 for the same size package was a good deal until I saw this. I've seen the same size pack go for $40 at a local shop. The flavor is very floral with no bitterness at all unless you overbrew it.
The tea is fascinating to watch when it brews. The 'pearls' will unroll into little branches, which are the tender shoots of the tea plant. Because the tea shoots are large, there is no need for an infuser since they stay at the bottom of the cup. In fact, the metal of the infuser can give the delicatley flavored tea a funny metallic taste. Smooth and full, not at all smoky; with subtle whispers of grapefruit and vanilla...I save this tea for the weekends, when I have time to sip and savor. I will chug a lesser tea from a travel mug during the morning commute, but I would never allow such vulgar treatment for my Prince Vladimir.
