I ordered this otoscope along with a larger professional model otoscope for office use. I purchased this otoscope to use as an inexpensive pocket model I could keep in my coat pocket during hospital rounds. I have to say I am extremely impressed with how well it works and how clearly I can visualize the tympanic membrane on both adult and pediatric patients. The otoscope is very light weight and comes with a pocket clip to keep it securely in your pocket when not in use. I have used it over 4 1/2 months on a fairly regular basis and still have not had to replace the batteries. I purchased this product in DC this summer. The vendor demonstrated on my ear how the product worked. I was very impressed. I purchased one box. She tried to convince me to buy more but I wasn't completely sold and thought they could end up as a box of stuff at my house with no purpose. Wow I was surprised. I've been using Lobe Wonder since July 2008 and I can't imagine not using them. Where were they in the 80's!!!. Love them and highly recommend them.

I love this product. I am driving my entire family crazy but I love being able to see in their ears with this thing. I cant believe how clearly I can see the eardrum. I can even see the little bone in the eardrum I remembered studying about in high school. I think it is called the staple. I can see my husbands, my teenage son, my 5 year old sons eardrum crystal clear. My infant daughter is a bit more of a challenge. Her ear canals are very small and she is very wiggly making it more difficult to get as clear of picture of the eardrum as I can get with the other members of our family. My ear lobes have been torn for decades (back in college in the 80's, I wore cheap, heavy earrings, not realizing that I was allergic to the nickle in the metal, and the constant irritation wore away at my piercings and I now have barely any "lobe" left.)
I discovered Lobe Wonder at a jewelry party 8 years ago and have used them every since. I can finally wear stud earrings again, as well as nickle-free wires. I LOVE them and wouldn't go without them. They will stay attached for 2-3 days, even with daily showers and hair-washing.

These are great earplugs. I use them every night to block out the sounds of my roommate snoring, and it significantly minimizes any other sound there is, such as tv, music, vacuum.... everything. This is an excellent product and I'd recommend it to anyone.

No other product comes close to the effectiveness of the soft-wax earplugs. I have to order them online sincle stores stopped selling them; I cannot imagine why, as they are way superior.

I am completely happy with my purchase. The otoscope fiberoptic LED is amazing. Very bright light along with a large glass lens allows for very clear visualization of the tympanic membrane. Works better than my old Welch Allan that I paid 3 times more for over 2 years ago. I needed a new bulb for it and it was going to be over $30. I saw this otoscope and I thought I would try it since the bulb is guaranteed for life to never go out. I am very glad I did.
I have not had a chance to use the ophthalmoscope yet but it appears to be good quality. It seems to focus well at +10 diopters on newsprint that is around an inch or so away so it seems like it should work well to see the retina through a dilated pupil.
