I'd always regarded electric toothbrushes as ridiculous marketing gimmicks. Then my dentist gave me one after I temporarily lost use of one of my arms due to an accident. Not being able to brush and floss properly one handed had caused me to develop pockets between teeth and gums as deep as 5 mm in some places. Yikes! Six months of using this brush made a tremendous difference in gum health. Every single pocket has diminished by at least 1 mm, most more than that, and the average depth is less than when I was still using a regular toothbrush with two functional arms. I'm very pleased and plan to continue using this brush.

Braun Silk-épil Easy Start - 3240

I started off with the epilation head with the reduced number of tweezers in addition to the 4-way moving pain softener. I am now just using the standard epilation head but only on the reduced speed not the normal speed. It is a little painful, less painful than waxing in my opinion. I simply use a piece of ice after use and rub on some sensitive skin lotion and have had the best results. I bought a second braun 3240 in the event that mine wears out, I will have a spare. (I heard this model might not be available at a later date). I only have to use this about once a month for the upper lip and have yet to brave using it on my legs or underarms. I love, love, love, this epilation system.

Braun Activator 8000 series clean & charge base

Yes, I do get a close shave and it's nice that it cleans itself, but if I were to do it again, I would never buy this shaver. It is too expensive to maintain. I've owned my 8985 Activator model for two years: the foil head and blades are supposed to last 18 months - I've had to buy three sets so far at $32.00 a piece! The clean & charge base just quit on me, another $50. Yes, it's a close shave (except for my neck), but at a high price.

Oral B Triumph 9950 NIB - 9900 series - w/$10 Rebate

I bought this for the girlfriend for her birthday... no it was not a hint to her :)

I use the Oral-b Sonic and decided to try this for her since it had more interchangeable heads. She is a big oral hygiene nut and that is a plus. After two days she loved it and still loves it after about a month. Her only issue is that she feels inclined to brush four times twice a day since there are four types of tips that came with the brush.
