I have been using ON Whey for about 2 years now- and my opinion on this is remains the same throughout that time: its a great product at a good price.
I will rate this on what I think sums up a good protein powder (on a scale of 1 - 5, 5 being the highest and 1 the lowest):
Mixability - 4.5 - this product requires a decent amount of mixing, or it will get clumpy in your glass. Same with a shaker bottle.. but all in all it mixes in fine with about 20 seconds of stirring/ shaking.
Taste - 3.5 - definitely NOT my favorite part of this product, but I should mention that I have only tried 2 other protein powders, and one tasted worse. The chocolate is ok - it tastes like a chocolate milkshake with cardboard in it. Stay away from ... Read More:

Guess I'm trading off the taste to go with a natural sweetener, because this stuff is really boring tasting. Makes drinking protein a chore. Other brands like Met-Rx Size Up actually tasted good enough to make me want to drink it throughout the day.

Everyone's pretty much already weighed in on the taste/texture of this product so I just wanted to add that unlike its competition, Any Whey contains 0% cholesterol. This is just one more reason why I'm a fan of Any Whey.

My doctor recommended using protein powder since I eat little meat and am very active - distance running and cycling. I chose this one because it is natural and I heard good things about the taste. They were right about the taste - I prefer the vanilla. I usually mix it with nonfat milk and just shake it up. Excellent.

This is a good product for slow-acting protein needs (i.e. taken before bedtime to prevent muscle breakdown). But try one of the other flavors. Vanilla is passable, but not the best I've had.

Also, it is not spoon-mixable. You really need a shaker to blend it well enough (unlike Optimum's whey protein product).

The French Vanilla flavoring is not very strong so it almost tastes like regular vanilla flavored protein. And since it's a limited edition product you get slightly less protein than with a permanent flavor (i.e. chocolate, vanilla, etc.)

I try others, but keep coming back to this one. No chemicals, good taste (mild), easily digested, great results.

I have tried several protein/energy bars and came across this one recently. While searching for protein bars on a website, this bar showed up as the only choice that met my criteria of high protein and low fat. I ordered immediately on amazon and so far I have been quite happy with it.

+ High protein content, 20g in each bar.
+ Low fat content. This is a big plus for me. Only 8% of saturated fat (which is much less compared to other protein bars) and 2% cholesterol.
+ No added sugar.
+ Tastes great.
+ Cheap. The amazon deal of automatic monthly order saves even more.

So far I have tried only the 'fudge truffle' flavor. I'm going to try the other flavors too.

Optimum nutrition products exceed my expectations every time. This is yet another wonderful protein product. Mixes extremely well, tastes GREAT!!! Very chocolatey, no gritty taste and best of all no after taste. Truly some of the best made products on the market.

ON Gold Standard 100% Whey, Instantized, Rocky Road, 5-Pound Tub

It mixes easily and doesn't leave any unmixed chunks of powder behind. It seems to be a quality powder. But the flavor of this one isn't that great. I'm still not sure why they named the flavor Rocky Road.
