The first time using it hurts really bad, after that it hurts but not as bad. On sensitive areas like the back of the knee or inner thigh I would not recommend using it. It hurt REALLY bad. If you can get past all that, it works really well!

It won't do fine hairs and does not pull out all hairs at the root, some hairs may clip off and not be unrooted, and when you try to go over the area again it won't get those hairs. Basically, it works about as well as waxing,but without the mess. It is about as quick as shaving (though I just dry shave).

Now, let's talk a bit about the pain. It does hurt, but not the kind of pain a woman can't handle. I use it for armpits and bikini area. It hurts but it's quick and with longer lasting results than shaving. If you do legs you should get into the habit of using the exfoliating pad because it does seem to cause much ingrowing of hairs. I don't have that problem in other areas though.

This is not one of those gimmicks that you fall for and only use for a week before you throw it out. I have had mine for over a year and I still use it every day. I bought a second one expecting to have to replace it every so often like I used to with any other brand but I have not had to use it. The fact that it is water resistant, so I can leave it in the shower, and made by a good company is what makes it a superior product.

i got this as an experiment in body hair. Ouch it gets easier after the first time but it still hurts. this is designed for fine womans hair, but i tried it with mine and it was nice not having to shave certain places for a week, but it is not worth the pain.

I've wanted to try an epilator for a long time, but wanted to make sure I bought one that actually worked. I read reviews from both Amazon and a consumer guide. Everyone seemed to like this product. I received it today and immediately tried it. What is the fuss about? It wasn't bad at all. Mind you, I've never been waxed and this was a first time use. It stung mildly at first, but then I figured out to pull the skin taught above the area that I was working on and, voila, pain gone -- all gone. As long as you remember to do that, you're fine. After a time, I didn't even need to do that. Have no idea how the ice attachment works. I didn't wait for it to freeze.

Not sure why, but at least 10% of my hair is not sucked in by the vacuum, which defeats the purpose, you still have to clean and there is still hair in places hard to clean...

Philips Sonicare Advance 4300 Power Toothbrush

This is my second Sonicare toothbrush. (I blew up the first one overseas using an apparently inappropriate plug converter--oops!--my fault, not a Sonicare problem.) I wanted another version of the older Sonicare--maybe it was the familiar-with-comfort-level or maybe it was also the physical difference but I just prefer the older models versus the newer ones. Anyway, it was exactly what I wanted and I couldn't be happier! My dentist recommended the Sonicare years ago. Since using this toothbrush, I have continually received many compliments on how white my teeth are. My dentist also comments every time I visit on how nice my teeth are. How can you beat that?
