Luigi's Bormioli's Esperienze wine decanter is the classic ship's decanter shape, but with an especially aggressive central punt (dimple in the middle of the bottom) and a series of concentric rings around the bottom. The rings and ridges are supposed to increase the rate of aeration. I don't know if that's true but everything about this decanter is designed to maximize aeration - from it's extremely generous 88oz size, very aggressive flair, and huge arcing punt. The big size really maximizes surface area at the bottom - a 750ml bottle fills the bottom less than an inch and a half and the surface area is huge. Absolutely beautiful decanter. Mine did not include a free drying stand, though - and I still have not figured out how to wash it properly! Perhaps not the most practicable purchase I've ever made, but there isn't a more beautiful way to serve wine on a special occasion.

I was skeptical about how well these dryers would work but was desperate for something. I was amazed at not only how well they dried my decanters, leaving no spots, but also how quickly they worked! I didn't even have to leave them overnight. Rather than buyer special drying racks, which take up space, go for these!

Bought this set for a wedding gift, I surely hope the young couple like them as well as I do, with the art-deco design on the glasses which are difficult to see from this picture, but it is a rather unique set for a nice gift. Even I wanted to keep this set, because the quality is superior with Bormioli Rocco which is made/sold mostly in Europe for restaurants/pubs. After hearing that the Bormioli company has closed recently, this news made me wish I could stock up on almost anything made by this brand, my oldest daughter purchased wine glasses made by Bormioli Rocco at Ross Dress For Less & she likes the simplistic design & quality as well. WMF Classic Glass Wine Decanter

This is a great decanter, its totally glass, strong and works great.
The weird shape is a great conversation piece and it holds a full bottle of wine with no problem,this is no MINI DECANTER. I use a simple funnel with this that i leave in the decanter after cleaning and for the price you cant go wrong. I paid 19.99 from amazon with free super saving shipping, and received it within 8 days, way to go AMAZON.I actually bought this around May of 08 and just getting around now to leave feedback.
I recommend leaving wine in for 3 to 6 minutes.It does make a difference, Have to go now i hear a bottle of Ruffino Riserva Ducale Cabernet being open and its GO TIME.
