Does a nice job of slicing, peeling and coring apples that are fairly evenly shaped all the way around. Not so good at all three operations when the apple is not evenly shaped. Had to remove them from the peeler and do them by hand....which were quite a few. Also need to continually check the alignment of the slicer/corer to make sure they were in line with the feed arm otherwise it can be easily bent out of shape. Haven't tried it yet with potatoes.

Purchased for my self, it was exactly what it was advertised to be. I found it very easy to use, assemble, and store. I used it the first time to dice onion. No mess! Easy clean up!

Oxo Good Grips i-Series Swivel Peeler

I bought this peeler based on the Cook's Ill. recommendation. It works very well, but it took me a while to get used to its weight. I do like the big handle, which fits my hands well. While I usually like utensils with good heft and a solid feel, it feels odd in a peeler.

Norpro Bread Slicer with Crumb Catcher

I started to make bread again in my bread maker. However it seems like I was not able to get an even slice for toasting. This slicer helps keep the knife evenly spaced for each slice. I had a little trouble keeping the sides together so the end plate would not fall out, but finally got the system going. Now I need to purchase a good sharp bread slicing knife to make my life perfect.

Oxo Good Grips Box Grater

I love the fact that the container on the bottom hold all the gratings. It's a strong box grater too which I'm sure will be around for a very long time.

Progressive International Vegetable/French Fry Cutter

I had an old french fry cutter that I finally tossed because it was rusty (yuck). I got this one, and have to say that I am very happy with it. I am surprised that some people wrote that it takes quite a bit of force. I was expecting it to take some muscle, so I put my potato in there and gave it a hefty pull. The potato went through like butter and flew halfway across the counter. I didn't hardly use any force on the next spud, and it went through like butter again. This time it didn't fly away. I am a 55-year-old, 100 pound lady, not the incredible hulk! It would be nice if the base was just an inch longer but for the price, I will cut my potatoes in half. It still makes nice size fries. Cuisipro Accutec Razor-Sharp Kitchen Rasp

Definitely better than Microplane in its shape (slightly rounded) and its sharpness (hide your knuckles). Also love the fact that the end you place on the counter/cutting board is rubber coated to prevent slippage. Only drawback is the plastic handle: it's too short (and I have little hands!), and the plastic is cheezy and uncomfortable. A lot of my utensils are Good Grips, and you really come to rely on and appreciate the heft, girth and comfort of their handles.

Black & Decker EK700 SlimGrip Electric Knife

After reading all of these reviews, I expected wonderful things out of this item. I purchased it to slice cured bacon. It does not slice cured bacon at all. So if you want to cut 'tough' food items, find another way.

Chef's Choice 610 Premium Electric Food Slicer

I had done extensive research on this slicer and I am pleased to say it is great. My husband and I used it to slice a 10lb ham, a 12lb and a loaf of cheese. We spent about an hour of non stop slicing and it didn't get hot or overheated once! Also, clean up was very easy. A great money saver and a super product.

It has a nice heft to it. The grip is very grippy and comfortable. It looks great. It peels mangos like a dream. It has an easy, effortless, and very smooth cutting action. It works beautifully. The blade must be pretty sharp to do that. Definitely a high quality tool. I love luxury. This is yet another thing for living my luxurious lifestyle. I buy no junk. I do very high quality work and I lead the field in my own business. Conversely I demand very high quality products for my high end lifestyle. It's first class all the way around for me!
