I have been terribly pleased with this Boston Shaker. I have three (Persian, Boston, two-piece with built in strainer) shakers and this is my go-to shaker when shaking cocktails. Once you get comfortable setting and unsetting the two pieces together it is a pleasure to use. One warning: the handy (never tested for accuracy) gradations on the glass were washed off when I put it in the dishwasher. I rarely dishwash my barware, but did so with this. The Cascade Complete enzymes or something erased all trace of the markings on the glass. I probably wouldn't have used them too much anyway, but if you plan to use them, handwash only.

It is not very often that I feel compelled to write a review on a product, but I just received one of these & love it. I used a Boston shaker for years (because that's what I owned), with a cocktail strainer, but it was messy. This really was leak & spill proof (for my 94 proof). I was wondering why no one has thought of this before. Good job Metrokane!

I've tried a variety of cocktail shakers and this is by far the best. Not only does it look elegant but it works very well. It also makes a great gift with a couple of Waterford martini glasses.

WMF Manhattan Stainless Steel Cocktail Shaker with Built-In Strainer

Stainless steel! It should be good not to rust. However this one did. When 'brushed' thin plate low grade stainless is used it will always rust.

This shaker had the potential to be great, then they used the cheaper metal and in three days it was showing rust at the screen area. Save your money on this one and demand higher quality products from WMF. This one is not recommended.

Oxo SteeL Cocktail Shaker

I work as the bar manager for a restaurant in NYC. Recently I purchased four of these shiny little shakers because I thought they were visually appealing. Unfortunately, they leak all over the place, making a sticky mess in their wake.

These certainly look sheik, but perhaps look elsewhere if you are looking for a high volume, truly functional bar accessory.
