I love a glass of good wine with dinner... OK, sometimes two. Much to my doctor's relief, I don't drink a whole bottle at one sitting. To save the leftover wine, I use the Vacu-vin system. It's extremely affordable, the toppers are reusable, and it's much more convenient than some of the higher priced vacuum systems (or the nitrogen spray). Plus it's a fun workout pumping out the air! Make sure you get the pump, too.

I enjoy having a glass or two of wine with dinner but, if I'm by myself, it's impossible because I can't finish a bottle alone (nor do I want to) and opened wine goes bad really quickly. The reason it goes bad has to do with the oxygen in the air. With the Vacu-vin pump I can remove the air from the bottle, and now an opened wine lasts me for about a week without refrigeration. Also, when you can't pump anymore air out of the bottle, the pump starts to click, indicating that you can stop pumping. I'm very happy with this product.

These stoppers don't keep your wine fresh, but they make pouring easier. I wouldn't buy them again.

A "Consumer Reports" favorable rating convinced me to buy the product. Not disappointed. It takes about ten(10) seconds to uncork a wine bottle. Simply amazing. No one using a conventional method is that quick. The opener has a beautiful black matte finish and looks handsome in the kitchen. Also comes with a foil cutter discreetly hidden in the charging stand. A great wine opener you will not regret purchasing.

We are so amazed how much better wine tastes--any kind of wine--after using this filter. We tested it out pouring a nice bottle in a glass and the rest through the filter in to the $40 decanter someone recommended. Not only did the wine taste better immediately. The decanted wine was better all night than the liquid that went straight into the glass. Works on cheap wine, too. And it makes a nice show when pouring. Enjoy.

The Vacu Vin Wine Saver Stoppers were exactly what I expected when I ordered them. They work great with my old Vacu Vin Wine Saver. I would recommend the product to anyone.

I bought one of these wine savers for my husband and I a few years ago, and loved it so much that we bought one for everyone in our families for Christmas!
It's perfect if you just want a glass of wine and not the whole bottle! You can keep a bottle of wine for a couple of weeks or more, and it never tastes skunky as long as you follow the directions.
The only downside: The original saver I bought for myself came with a case for the parts. The ones we ordered for gifts came all loosey-goosey. Can be easy to lose the stoppers.

Wine Enthusiast Private Preserve Wine Preservation Spray

I've been drinking and saving partial bottles of wine for years with this stuff. I've played with those wine vacuum pumps in the store, and I can tell you from experience using vacuum bells in engineering labs, that there is no way those little pumps and seals could remove enough atmosphere to make a substantial impact in lowering wine oxidation.

As for the amount of gas in the bottles, I usually purchase Private Preserve by the case, in an unopened box, and I've never had an issue. I can usually get at about 100 uses from a can. I think the instructions on the back are over-simplified; when the bottle is brand new and the pressure is high, you have to cut the amount of spraying time at least in half, if not more.
