Hopefully this will be the last can opener that I'll ever need. Has heavier weight and feel that comparable openers at the big box store. For those cans without a pull tab, this product makes opening a snap.

I wish I would have seen this along time ago. Charges fast and works great. Just throw it back in the drawer when you are done, saves so much space compared to the counter can opener. Couldn't beat the price

We just moved into a new apartment on October 1st and although the kitchen is nice, the counter space is limited. I had a counter top can-opener and we just needed more room. I had read the reviews and was a little wary about buying this can opener because of the negative ones, but I went ahead and got it anyway. I am so glad that I did. Jim had it installed in about 10-15 minutes. It works like a dream and I use it pretty much every day. We were thinking about intalling it back a little on the underside of the cabinet but decided to install it right at the edge to make it easier to remove the blade for cleaning. This West Bend Electric Can Opener can-opener is absolutely gorgeous (I got it in metallic)! It's elegant and stylish and easy to use. Without even a glance at the directions, I managed to open a rather large, unweildy can with no problems at all. The cut edges of the can were not overly sharp (nor was the lid sharp).
I was impressed by the ease and speed of the process--even for a klutz like me! I also like the fact that the cutting mechanism can be removed and cleaned. It's a great can-opener!

This little gadget allows you to magnetically pick up the lids from the hot simmering water for your canning jars. Saves burned finger tips, and proves much more sanitary than other methods. Had hoped for a bit more umph in the magnet, but I suppose then it would pick up two lids? I would highly recommend, and now wouldn't be without it!

We bought the jar opener for my mother-in-law several years ago. It recently broke and she was practically in a state of panic. She's 92 years old and this jar opened "is a real life saver". I highly recommend it -- it works!

I have used this product for six weeksand found it exactly what I expected. It is very easy to use, once you figure it out. As others said, the instructions are not very clear, but it does not take long to figure it out on your own. I cuts the top off cleanly and safely without touching the food. We bought several elctric units that do not last for long, this looks like a real find. I highly recommend it.
