at last, a product that surpasses my expectations. I splurged for this after reading a recommendation in Cooks Illustrated. In the past 50 years I've been cooking, I've wasted so much money on garlic shredders/mincers etc. that don't' work or so messy to clean they've not worth the effort. But this really does work and is a snap to use and clean. Just go for it and buy it--in the long run you will save money.

This is the 5th Vidalia Chop Wizard I have purchased. I use it in my small resturant. Nothing is better to make Pico de Gallo.
I use it for everything from dicing onions and tomatoes to ham for omlettes and salads.
The only problem I have had is the clear plastic base cracks if top is not fitted on just right. After breaking 3, I am very careful. I also broke one when it was dropped. But I will always replace because it is such a great kitchen tool. I actually bought 2 this time, just in case!

Trudeau Garlic Press

This garlic press has rubber sleeves that go over the handles, and when the press is washed water goes inside the sleeves, which requires taking the sleeves off after washing to dry out, or removing the sleeves prior to washing. Found this inconvenient.

My order of a Presto 02970 Professional SaladShooter Slicer/Shredder, arrived promptly, was properly packed, and was in perfect condition. The price was better than I expected to have to pay. After using it, I liked it so well that I ordered some more attachments to go along with the ones that came with it. I plan to be using it quite a bit to shred various fresh vegetables for my healthy lifestyle. A pyramid of shredded vegetables on my plate is not only healthy, but attractive to look at and make a welcome change. They are also easier to eat if someone has any dental problems. Peugeot Paris 8-3/4-Inch Salt and Pepper Mill Set, Classic Curry

The Peugeot pepper and salt mills have a beautiful gloss finish that is a rich none yellow mustardy color, they call this curry. The color in the picture does not do these mills justice. The mills themselves are about 22 cm tall or 8.75 inches tall the metal knobs are not a significant part of the height, being that they blend in so well with the contours of the mill, but they are part of this measurement. Haven't used it yet, but it appears as advertised. It seems well made and looks like it will do exactly what it is intended to do. Plus, it looks nice in the kitchen. I recommend it.

I've loved fresh ground black pepper for a long, long time. I use a lot of it - generally enough to raise eyebrows from heathens that don't know the pure love of Pepper hehe.

It always bugged me how long you'd have to grind grind grind to get a decent amount of pepper on your dish. It'd take forever and sometimes I'd just give up and settle for less than I wanted.

Along those lines, ever had a recipe call for 2 TBS of fresh ground black pepper? Holy Cow! Talk about some marathon grinding! It'd be tough to get to the mark and super annoying because I'd just as soon add extra pepper most of the time.

THIS pepper mill solves both of those problems and has an added 'stop annoying me' benefit too.

My husband has wanted one of these ever since he saw Alton Brown with one. I finally broke down and bought it for him. I have to admit, I love it. We use sea salt and kosher salt, and the containers they come in make it very hard to get a "pinch" of salt. This server makes getting a pinch or a teaspoon so easy! Plus it looks nice on the table.

My only wish is that it was easier to keep the stainless steel lid clean and free of fingerprints.

In a word, perfect. This spice rack is perfect for an in the cabinet hidden spice rack. We have a narrow cabinet that is not practical for too much but perfect for spices. The bottom shelf has a spice carrousel for regularly used spices and this is on the second shelf. When I pull it out they hang down to the first shelf level - which is "perfect." My only concern is that the bottom shelf seems like it may start to separate from the sides under the weight of the spices, but so far so good and I don't put my use everday spices on it.

Really, who ever thought of this gets a gold star, great idea and design. Works as advertised.

While it lasted, it made garlic paste out of garlic, but it snapped in half? Also not super easy to clean or anything.
