It's the right size and I wish more bakeware companies made these smaller sizes because the "normal" size pans don't fit in our convection oven and we can't use glass or that plastic stuff. It's hard to find smaller size metal bakeware. But this one, and all the others with a non-stick surface, become useless after 2 or 3 uses--the non-stick surface starts to flake off (onto the food cooked in it) which is not healthy for you. And we don't have a dishwasher so it can't be blamed on that machine. We use the teflon-friendly utensils etc. but the stuff still flakes off. The manufacturers ought to just give up on the non-stick stuff and let us have plain ol' stainless steel--at least it's tough and can withstand scouring when needed, you can ... Read More:

Thus far, I had made one meal in the casserole dish. It had cooked faster than I expected. The dish heats very well.You have to watch what you are cooking very carefully.My daughter has used it. She seemed happy with it.
The dish is very heavy.If you have nerve isses with your hands ,shoulders,neck or back,this item is not for you.It weight a ton.But I am keeping it.It's beautiful and it seems to cook well.To clean the inside I used Dawn with bleach and soaked it for a few seconds.The outside I wash with mild dish washing detergent. Immediately, I dried with a towel. So far, so good! Yes, I would recommend.

Make sure to note that it is a 12oz container, so it is not meant for baking larger casseroles etc. It is very convenient to hold sugar, flour etc. Also note that this particular product is actually manufactured in Thailand.

I got one of these for my daughter, who's taking French in High School.

As another reviewer noted, the cheap price ones are ugly. Not really blue at all. Nothing like the official product pix.

Also for me, it is not made in France, but in Thailand. If I wanted cheap asian pottery, I can go to any dollar store. I'd be willing to pay 3.99 for this; nothing more.

Le Creuset lost a customer for life. Glad I didn't try a $200 pot. Wonder where in China those are made?

I love these petite casseroles, I have a set of four. They are perfect for baking individual entrees or desserts for people or just decorations on the table. I have also used them to serve condiments and as individual soup tureens.

I doubt you'll be disappointed especially for the price. Enjoy!

I purchased these a few weeks ago and am absolutely delighted with them! As long as you realize you are getting a 9" and approx. 4" square dishes, you will be fine. I have reheated leftovers, baked several fruit crisps, etc. - and have found these dishes to be superb. The small one is handy when I cut a few too many apples (or other fruits) or make a little bit too much stuffing... it makes an easy "extension" for the larger baker. They bake evenly and clean easily (to my surprise)! They are a beautiful blue pattern that transitions light to dark. In fact, I am so pleased with their performance, I am buying others (different shapes) today!

Calphalon Contemporary Nonstick 12-Inch Everyday Pan

I have had two of these and they are great. Easy to cook with a clean up is a breeze. This is a great everyday pan, buy one. The one down side is that using it everyday and despite taking care of it, I have sent two of these back to calphalon for warranty replacement.
