When I opened this table to assemble, it had already sustained damage in the factory--one leg had cracked and was plainly (and somewhat messily) glued back together, and there was a crack on one of the leaves. The factory had also failed to drill through one of the guide holes for attaching legs to tabletop, so I had to finish that up myself in order to complete assembly.

If you get one in perfect condition, on sale, it's a good investment, I imagine.

I was a bit skeptical ordering furniture from the internet without looking at it in person, but after assembling the table and chairs I was amazed at how rich it looks. My place is furnished with furniture from Boston Interiors and Crate & Barrel and this is by far the best looking piece I have in the house. The price is what drove me to buy this because similar pieces at other stores are hundreds more, but this is a lot nicer than the Crate & Barrel comparable counter height table. It took a while to assemble (a few days) and got frustrating at times, but its worth it. Customer Service at Vision Decor was very helpful; I will definitely order from them again and recommend their pieces to others.
