American Innovative Neverlate Executive Alarm Clock

I was really excited by the press releases about this clock, and put myself on the mailing list to be notified when it entered production. I asked for one for Christmas and got it.

It's not that great.

1. Sometimes the clock "crashes" and locks up. If you press a button the wrong way, press too many buttons at once, or maybe do nothing at all, it just stops working. It displays the same time forever and none of the buttons do anything. Not very reliable if you depend on this thing to wake you up for important meetings, etc. You have to take the battery out and unplug it to get it to reset, and then do all the settings over again. I've had to do this three times so far.

Chef's Quad-Timer Professional (Brushed Stainless)

Love everything about it, except for the fact the the batteries died after 5 days.... Even got a replacement unit - same issue...Couldn't see the LED's after 1 week.

American Innovative Neverlate 7-Day Alarm Clock

The Neverlate is a nice idea badly executed. To give you an idea of what I mean here is what happened when I first tried to use it. When I plugged it in around midnight, the clock showed 12:00 noon so the first thing I had to do is set the clock. This is done by rotating a ring around the control button for setting the weekday. To change the time you put your fingers on the ring and rotate it, taking care not to rotate the weekday setting that is inside the ring. The most I can rotate the ring on a single turn of my wrist is about 5 minutes. So I started rotating - the ring does not rotate easily and clicks for each minute of rotation. American Innovative Teach Me Time Talking Alarm Clock and Nightlight

I loved this product excpet for one small issue - my kids have never slept with a night light and this product stays rather bright at even the lowest setting. If your kids are used to sleeping with a night light go for it - all of the features are great, especially the green light.
