Purchased the ProLine about 8 months ago and have been making at least two pots of coffee every day since. It is nice to own a coffee maker that makes great coffee that works well and is well made. It looks like it will last longer than a year or two. I have no objection spending money when I get a quaility product in return.

My single complaint about the maker is not with the maker itself but with the water filter that fits inside the machine. Yes, the coffee tastes better using the filter. We are heavy coffee drinkers and need to replace the filters frequently (every 60 pots or so). The filters cost about 9 dollars each and it seems impossible to buy just the replacement carbon filter. I used to use steel tea pots but they would always rust or become discolored on the outside of the pot when being used on a gas stove. They were really hard to keep clean! But this KitchenAid porcelain teapot is great! It washes easy, gets really hot fast, and the whistle is loud so you can hear it from anywhere in your house. I would have given it 5 stars, though, if it weren't for the combination metal and "rubber" handle. It looks really sharp, but you have to use a pot holder to pick up the kettle to pour your tea. A full rubber handle or heat resistant metal would have been better.

Kitchen Aid 6-Piece Gadget Set, Red

Had this set for three years now. Spatula, peeler, whisk are great. Scoop is average. Grater doesn't get used because the Microplane ones are so much more effective. Can opener is the worst I've had - keeps slipping off the can. The $2 no name model is 10 times better. All hold up real well, which is good for the first four and not for the last two ;) I'd buy the good ones separately if you can get them on sale.

I love this zester. I used to use a grater to get my fresh lemon zest. That was a pain. This is easy.

The scoop seems well made, but the bowl is too large for normal use in a small household....will not fit easily into a 3-4 qt saucepan. So I returned it. Would be nice for larger pasta pots & big families though.
