I used this last night to dish out my mulled cider from slowcooker into my serving bowl. It was sturdy , held quite a bit and is deeper than most ladles . I am very happy with this purchase.

KitchenAid Gourmet Distinctions Stainless-Steel 10-Piece Cookware Set

I've gone through 3 different sets of cookware...expensive non-stick, heavy aluminum, and even those nasty glass Vision's cookware from way back...and this set of Kitchen Aid Gourmet Distinctions is the winner hands down! They are beautiful hanging in my pot rack, but they really shine on the stove top. I have been impressed at how well they cook, and I have not had any trouble with food sticking. A good stir and scrape occasionally makes sure food is released before sticking becomes an issue. Of course, using a little cooking spray helps, too. They clean up exceptionally well, especially if you wipe them out and rinse them soon after cooking. Got this for a super price. Cooks well and even. Cleans up well too. So far have only been hand washing, which is recommended.

KitchenAid BCG100OB Black Blade Coffee Grinder 4-oz.

I'm really surprised at the ratings this thing has gotten. Maybe I was just REALLY unlucky. But I had this grinder on my wish list at Christmas and somehow ended up with two. Bummer, I thought, but put one in the closet thinking I'd sell it eventually. Well, within three months the first one stopped working. You would push down on the lid and nothing happened. We took it apart and cleaned every nook and cranny, but couldn't identify the problem. So I pulled out the spare from the closet and within two months that one stopped working! Again, maybe it's just our bad luck, but given that both broke, I would never recommend buying one.

KitchenAid Silicone-Tipped Tongs - Red

My biggest complaint about these tongs is that the silicone coating makes most things really slippery and hard to pick up (especially raw meat, such as chicken breasts). Other than that, they are nice and sturdy and well made and the locking mechanism works easily, just the slippery-ness is a big issue.
