First of all I emailed Kitchen Aid with the model number on the bottom of my bowl to make sure I bought the right lids. They fit perfectly and now I can keep my mixing attachments in my bowl. Some people have said the lids shrink after putting them in the dishwasher. Well, hello they are plastic. I have not had to wash mine yet, but I will not be putting mine in the dishwasher anyway.

KitchenAid GMA Grain Mill Attachment for Stand Mixers

I bought this to start using whole wheat flour. It does a good job grinding the wheat. Make sure you use it on speed 10 or it will ruin your mixer. You need to let it cool after you grind wheat with this grinder. I usually grind about 5 cups at a time and have not had any trouble with it overheating. If you are going to grind a lot of wheat at a time, I would spend the money to get a nutrimill grain mill.

i read the reviews and decided to try it inspite of the one stars. i did not get it off amazon but from sur la table $$$ and paid the msrp. i got it here because of their return polocy (if i hated it i can return it and get the roller attachment no questions asked and no return shipping). so i tryed the basic egg noodle they had in the booklet and it was just too wet. so i had to reprocess the whole batch with more dry ingredents. the texture is really meally and then i stuffed it into the extruder. it worked for a couple minutes and then cloged. took it apart and uncloged, reloded with less product. finished and cooked it. it was good but bland. so hopped on the google for eletric exstruder pasta recipies and found better. i would buy again, ... This is the best mixing bowl for my mixer, imaginable. It's great for icing and small recipes. I never liked it when I had to use my large bowl for small recipes.

I liked this bowl so much I even bought one for my sister for her birthday!

This is an older model Most of the newer models available have a different bowl and would not be conpatible with the older interchageable parts. If you have a legacy unit, perhaps inherited from a family member, scoop this one up. You will not be sorry.

It is the perfect replacement for the same model, purchased over 30 years ago. The original, used several times weekly for home made breads, and family cooking 3 meals a day for 4 hungry athletes and an extended family, finally showed its age by affecting the conventional speed control. I am a trained home economist, having spent my early years in the developmental kitchens of a well know frozen food line, and over 50 years raising my family.

KitchenAid Spiral Dough Hooks: Coated

Dough doesn't climb up on the mixing tool and it actually kneads the dough much better giving you a smoother dough (you can feel this difference). When I added ingredients I noticed they get more thoroughly mixed and do not sit on the side of the bowl. The older device was more of a mixing tool than a kneader but it did the job. This does it better.
