 Rating:  - disappointingI recently bought this book light as the new bedside lamps we purchased are not suitable for reading in bed. It seemed like a good idea but the light cast was low . It would cover about a page but not both requiring moving the light constantly as you were reading from page to page. On bigger than paperback size books the bottom of the page was poorly lit. It also did not have a strong clip thus making it a little wobbly on the book. I plan on returning it this weekend Rating: - LED's burnt out...Not happy with this light. Two of my LED lights are burnt out and I haven't been able to find replacements for them. Hard to direct light. I think the Itty Bitty LED with plug in capability is a better option to eliminate battery use in most use. Rating:  - Good light on one page, must be farther away to light two pagesNot as annoying as lights some I've tried, but not what I hoped for. The good: * The LEDs provides a nice white light that covers a page from the four inch length of it's arm. * The light output remains consistent over time, and you have two levels to choose from. * The device is lightweight and compact, making it ideal for travelers who have at some point found themselves on a flight with a burned out light bulb over their seat, unable to read, unwilling to watch that movie, and have vowed to themselves "never again". The bad: * At 4 inches away the device can not light two pages. You'll either have to strain to read the partially lit opposite page, or move the light to the opposite side as you finish ... It has great light, covers what I need, but the one I recieved was very flimsy, was not holding it's stand up abitlity. I am not sure I am saying that right, in other words, other book lights I try, I open, use and that is that. This one keeps trying to fold back up on itself. Again, it could be just the one I was sent, the others may be fine, and the lighting itself is really good. |
