Oxo Good Grips Soap Squirting Dish Brush

This will be a quick but important note about this product. We've bought probably a dozen of these for ourselves and for guests that fall in love with it once they give a spin. After an overnight, we send them home with it as a gift. Yes, we make our guests wash their own dishes. ;)

The important note: What we discovered initially falls in line with much of what is said here. The early design, where pushing the button actually raised a lever that allowed the soap to be dispensed, wore out over a short period. The rubber button broke down possibly in part because of the soap - maybe cheap rubber. But after getting the 'improved' version I believe it was the pressure required to use the 'lever' version to release the soap.

Oxo Good Grips i-Series Potato Masher

This masher does great mashed potatoes - the square holes help to keep the mashies from turning glue. The silicone covering makes cleanup easy. The side wings help to scoop of the side of the pot.

Oxo Good Grips Trigger Ice Cream Scoop

Much like most of the other reviewers' experiences, the trigger mechanism in my OXO ice cream scoop broke almost immediately, as well. And then, to add insult to injury, when I kept using it despite the fact that it didn't work properly, the metal it was made from pitted/eroded horribly.

Although I've always been a fan of OXO's products and can't recall using any other OXO kitchen gadgets I've bought that I thoroughly disliked, this is definitely one to avoid.

Oxo SteeL Slotted Serving Spoon

The slotted spoon has a very large handle and a very small bowl, which make it too clunky to use as a serving spoon and too small to use as a cooking spoon. What were they thinking?

Oxo Good Grips Professional Poultry Shears

As with all Oxo products, this one didn't disappoint. Excellent steel quality is SHARP! I also like the fact that the blades come apart and is dishwasher safe for easy cleaning, especially since this will be used on poultry. Highly recommended.

Oxo Good Grips Silicone Flexible Omelet Turner

Very nice silicon spatula. The material has a good feel and bends easily to scoop under any food. My one problem with this is that it often bends too easily, giving way under any mildy heavy article. I guess a smaller version would be better for turning hamburgers.

Oxo Good Grips Brushed Stainless Steel Utensil Holder

More than pleased with this holder! Everything stays put, doesn't fall over from the utensil's falling to one side (they don't fall to one side ever!). Looks sharp, much better than the round flour bin we were using for our holder! Very easy clean up and best of all, it matches our kitchen!! We have had it over a month now and can't find a bad thing about it! You won't regret it!

Oxo Good Grips Mandoline Slicer

When I first saw this item, I would have never thought that the first thing that would happen is it would break.
Don't get me wrong; it didn't break to the point that I couldn't use it (one of the lower plastic pivots busted, but it was still usable). Heck, I even sliced up a bunch of potatoes to make home made chips yesterday. Unfortunately, or maybe stupid of me, I didn't use the holder and wound up cutting my thumb on the VERY sharp blade.

This slicer has a VERY sharp blade and continuously adjustable thickness setting until it gets to the shredder settings.

I would have given it the highest rating were it not forr the fact that it broke the first time I used it.
