Oxo Good Grips 3-Piece Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl Set

I used the Stainless Steel Mixing Bowl when I was laid up in a small hut in Thailand, sick with malaria and scurvy. I mainly used it to vomit in. It never rusted or decomposed. I also used it to cook, boil stream water to drink, and as a hat against the sun. It comes in handy if you are traveling in a less than luxurious country where you need to use everything at your disposal for many uses.

Oxo Good Grips Small Silicone Spatula, Blueberry

I bought this to get over the limit for free shipping. I'm sure glad I did. We use it all the time. It works great for stuff like getting all the mustard out of the jar, or cleaning out a small plastic container. It also works better than a regular dinner knife for spreading anything from mayo. to mustard, peanut butter or butter.Buy one. You will use it for sure.

Oxo Good Grips Oven Thermometer

My gas oven (new to me) wasn't getting to the proper temperature so baking was not satisfactory. When I put in the Oxo thermometer and set the oven to heat to 350º, it was only at 200º when the oven signaled that it was up to temperature. When I set the oven timer for 20 minutes, it was up to temperature and baking was then just fine. The thermometer made all the difference in success for me.

Citrus Press - Soft Grip

This press may work well on larger citrus like lemons, but it doesn't do a good job on extracting all of the juice from limes. I purchased the Oxo citrus press in a pinch when I couldn't find my Norpro press. I've used that juicer on both lemons and limes with equally good results. I still can't find my Norpro and am going to spend the money to replace it.

This spatula is a solid one that works well in cooking things. So far, I've mainly used it to turn meat when frying or sauteing food on the cooktop. It replaced a really cheap one and my husband laughed when he saw it because it was so much more solid than the previous one. I told him we would be passing it on to someone in our will!

Oxo SteeL Wine Stopper

I bought one of these a couple of years ago, and it does work. The rows of fins at the bottom will stop the wine from leaking, even when the bottle is placed on its side (like in the refrigerator). It is chunky, stainless steel, and easy to hold and use.

The drawback is that it is pretty tall, which means that you'll definitely be laying that bottle down horizontally as it won't fit in the door with this on top.

Oxo Good Grips Brushed Stainless Steel Slotted Spoon

OXO's line of brushed stainless steel kitchen utensils are nicely balanced and feel great using them. My only complaint is that after putting them through the dishwasher, they have developed some surface rust spots. They scrub off, but I hate to have to worry about the rust each time. Must be cheap stainless steel composition.

Oxo Good Grips Jar Opener

I've gone through two of these and won't purchase another. The first one broke after using it a three or four times, but since I like Oxo products in general, I assumed it just a fluke. The second one I simply threw away. As other reviewers have pointed out, it uses tiny, metal teeth to grip the lid, which slip and could conceivably cause injury. It was worthless, so I'm back to the old technique of using hot water on the lid and banging the sides with a spoon. Works better than Oxo, that's for sure.
