I'm glad I read other people's comments about how sharp the blades are. I had no problems at all, but it pays to be careful taking it apart when you are first using it - I can see how carelessness could be painful. We have access to a wonderful farmstand next to a cornfield, so we get absolutely fresh corn in season, and always stock up the freezer. This made this year's supply go so fast it was amazing.
We parboil the corn on the cob before we strip it to freeze, and the half-cooked kernels practically leapt off the cobs.

Oxo Good Grips Flour Sifter

I'm a amateur baker and I love this product, It's easy to use. I don't understand the people who said "slow" (including my cousin), because for me it's very good, I guess I found the right move, since the first use, to make it work properly. I would like it to be a little bigger so it can hold 500grs not only 400grs of flour.

I love kalamata olives, and I think they're best when you buy them un-pitted. But I didn't like putting them in salads because I would either have to butcher them with a knife or catch them in the salad and spit out the seeds.

This Pitter made everything so much easier. I use this product just about every other day to add olives to my salads. It's comfortable and works extremely well- about 8 out of 10 olives pit perfectly, the others you have to gently pull out of the hole, and the seed catches and falls down. While the splash guard is pretty nice, I just pit them directly into my plastic trash/grocery bag.

Oxo Good Grips Meat Tenderizer

Bought this Oxo product based on its looks and reviews. Was I ever disappointed. A piece of junk! Top broke off the 2nd time used. Once it breaks, you can see the poor quality aluminum used in this product. Just another piece of Chinese junk in the garbage. I should have kept the warrenty for something like this. Will be buying a stainless commerical one now...

After looking at a number of recipes in various cookbooks and and on the internet, I was thoroughly confused, but I remembered that my mother-in-law owned a device that worked with little difficulty. I ordered this mill because it seemed the most stable. After washing the apples, I cooked them in in large pots (several batches) I did not core or peel any of them but tossed the apples in the boiling water and set the timer for 15 to 20 minutes. Then I drained the excess water in a colander and spooned about two cups in the mill. Chose the sieve with the largest holes or the result will be a puree. Wow! This product opens every jar, small and large. I don't hesitate to recommend it to everyone. I don't know what I'd do without it. Some may use an electronic opener, but it doesn't work on everything and this will work when the electricity is down.
