Oxo Good Grips Slim Nut/Seafood Cracker

I use this to crack walnuts. It works pretty well although a few times I shot the shell halfway across the room...but that seems to happen with a lot of the nut crackers. I have not yet tried it on crab claws. It works well with nuts though.

Oxo Good Grips Large Silicone Flexible Turner

I have been trying out the hi-temp silicone spatulas as they appeared on the market as it is clearly such a great idea....and this is finally the one that I love. Works for pancakes, onions, cutlets, in short this and everything that I cook. I am tossing the other experiments and if this is short lived I will simply buy another as it is a wonderfully useful kitchen tool.

Oxo Good Grips Wire Cheese Slicer with Replaceable Wires

I've used a few different cheese slicers of this type. This one is very easy to hold, which of course is what "Good Grips" products are all about. The wire is easily replaced. It was two or three years before we needed to replace one, but it's simple to do when the time comes. The tension is easily adjusted. The slicer cleans easily; there don't seem to be places where old cheese collects and is hard to wash away. Adjusting for the thickness of the slice is a matter of angling the tool, which works. I've had slicers with mechanical adjusters for thickness, but they didn't actually work very well. It's a simple tool, but there seem to be many ways to go wrong even so. Oxo SteeL Ice Bucket and Ice Tongs with Tong Holder

I have been very pleased with this bucket. The holder is a perfect place to keep the tongs, and the lid works great. I've been able to fill mine almost to the rim with ice without a problem, and I love that the lid flips open without having to set it somewhere. Some have complained about the capacity, but my opinion is if you need more ice, then you probably need to use a cooler. This has been ideal for parties with about 10 guests. In addition, after purchasing this, I had a problem with my tongs not opening correctly, so I emailed the company with my purchase information and asked for a replacement set of tongs. 2 weeks later I received an entire new ice bucket with tongs and holder in the mail free of charge. OXO Good Grips Salad Chopper and Bowl

I really, really wanted to love this product. I think OXO makes great stuff and summertime is when I like to make chop salads of all sorts. Well, the concept is just ducky but the application leaves a lot to be desired. The spacing of the dual blades is too wide, requiring many more passes than I thought strictly necessary to achieve a relatively uniform chopping. After 5-7 minutes for a reasonably small salad, my arm and wrist were fatigued and my salad was overchopped - except where overly large bits remained :(

Oxo Good Grips 4-Inch Pizza Wheel

Even though I very clearly read that this is a 4-inch pizza wheel, I really did not expect it to be this... big...

And I love it!

This is a big, hefty pizza cutter. I like to make pizza with lots of veggie toppings, and it slices right through every time. Whether or not you have to go back and forth seems to be dependent upon how crunchy you like the bottom of the crust. A softer crust slices easily with one pass. A crunchy bottom crust requires a bit more work, but not enough to give this a negative rating.

Oxo Good Grips Lemon Zester

Just used this for the first time. I've always used a real fine grater for lemon zest, but this is SO much better! I got nice, thin strands of lemon zest and no issue about getting into the bitter white pith.
