Oster 4901-003 Blender Blade with Gasket

My blender was giving me fits. It was not responding to my foot stomping so it was relegated to the toss or donate pile. Then I saw this little gizmo on Amazon and thought to myself: "self, what about this?" Right out of the box, and after the first use, I realized that I had made a smart purchase--I no longer needed to replace my blender. Since Summer is here and it is an important time for blended drinks, this is a very good thing.

Your blender motor may be just fine. It may be that the existing blender blade has been stripped for over-use. This gizmo falls into the "sucha deal" column. And, yes, it does deserve 5 stars.

Oster 3212 Inspire Food Processor

The Oster 3212 does a fine job of slicing and shredding, the almost exclusive use I make of it. It uses just one blade that you turn over to switch between slicing and shredding, which I would call a convenience.
However, that one blade is sandwiched between two pieces of plastic that start to separate from each other, causing its hexagonal shape shaft to round out and eventually just spin freely instead of turning with the motor. I bought a replacement blade from an authorized parts place (rather than look for the receipt to see if it's still under warranty) and found the new blade parts were loose and separating to begin with. Oster 6 cup "Clover Leaf" plastic blender jar with lid.

Purchased this, because after long years of use, the original jar got some cracks near where the handle meets the jar, and because the center part of the lid fell through during use and was rendered useless, the baby food I was making also had to be thrown out after that incident! This is exactly the same as the original one, Oster packaging and everything. Best price that I could find on the web.

I love, love, love this blender! I bought a Kitchenaid blender about 10 years ago and hated it everyday that I owned it, it finally broke so I got to buy a new one. My mom owns this Oster blender and I tested hers out before I bought it. I can not tell you how much better this blender is compared to the Kitchenaid! I can make a blended Margarita in less than 30 seconds and the ice is so smooth! After 2 minutes on the Kitchenaid the ice would be uneven and still have very big chuncks in it. This is an awesome blender and it's a third of the price of the Kitchenaid.

Oster Plastic Blender Jar, Clover Leaf Shape

This blender jar is lightweight and has an extra cup of volume compared with the glass one that it's replacing. I love it!

One thing, though, is that the picture doesn't reflect the actual product - it's just the jar, no cover is included. For me, that wasn't a problem because I still have the top from the glass jar it's replacing. But if you're in the market for a jar with a top, you'll have to buy the top separately.

Like others have said, this blender just randomly dies and will not even turn on anymore. For me it happened just after the one year mark so no warranty return for me. And I used it maybe once a week at the most. Mine was a gift and I wish I would have read the reviews before I opened it. Too late now...

Oster 6235 4-Slice Toaster Oven

I ordered this toaster oven for my school teacher's lounge. We are a small school with 20 staff members and everyone who has used it so far has complimented on how useful it is. We did have to watch the toast to make sure the level of browness is to our individual liking. When we first used it, none of us could figure out how to turn off the toaster to shorten the toasting cycle. We had to unplug it while the oven is ON!! I was ready to call Customers Service to complain. Then today I gave it one more try. I pulled the lever up with more force and it went back up to OFF position!! Bingo!! HOwever, I do have a suggestion. It would be more functional and efficient if the timer and toasting cycle work together like the model I have at home. ... Read More:
