Sunbeam/Oster breadmaker belt.

Oster 6854 14 Speed Blender, Brushed Nickel

It started when I opened the box and pulled out the really cheap product pamphlet: the thinnest, cheapest newsprint type paper with the barest info on my new Oster® 14-Speed Blender with Brushed Nickel Finish, not even any recipes. Then I pulled out the blender jar. Granted, I haven't bought a new blender in years, and hadn't really thought about how 'tiny' 40 ounces is, a little over 4 cups. My old one was probably double that; I do drinks for a Crowd; soup for a Family. Forty ounces ain't gonna cut it for me. Second surprise - the brushed nickel finish was...a spray-on shiny silver paint on the flimsiest thin plastic screw-on base. I could actually flex the base with my fingers. Oster 2-Slice Toaster – Stainless Steel

I have owned three of these. They look good, have a small footprint, and work OK. The problem is that none of the three I have owned have lasted longer than 12-18 months before they break. If you buy one, be prepared to throw it in the garbage or preferably recycle in about 12 months. I won't buy another one.

Where are the old toasters that lasted 20 years?

Oster 6.1-qt. Food Steamer

If you will notice on the bottom right side of the photo there is a see-through chamber to see how much water you've poured in. Great idea. Poor execution. After just one use of this steamer I washed it, dried it, and put it away. The next time I went to use it, I had a very thick layer of mold growing in the see-through chamber. If you live in a humid place, better take a pass on this steamer. There is no way to get inside the steamer and fully dry it out as it is a sealed compartment aside from a small hole that will let water in and out. This is a huge design flaw. So, after one use and a chamber full of mold that I was not able to remove, I ended up dumping this steamer in the trash can.

Oster 4715 Multi-Use 10-Cup Rice Cooker and Food Steamer

We keep buying the same Oster rice cooker every 2-3 years.....We use it everyday, so it does wear out. If you leave it on warm for too long, then it will form a crust at the bottom, but it comes off very easily. After awhile, sometimes it under cooks the rice, but if left on warm, it will cook thoroughly. Overall, we have found this rice cooker very useful and dependable...We love the rice that it cooks!

Oster 22881 fine disc for meat grinder.

Oster 6820-022 Core 12-Speed Blender with Plastic Jar, Brushed Nickel

I purchased this blender to replace my 8 year old blender that popped a hole while crushing ice. My primary purpose for using this is to crush ice and make blended coffees. My husband didn't want me to spend too much money so after looking at this model in the store, I purchased it. Upon first use, it leaked through the bottom. I found I didn't have the base tightened all the way--something that wasn't mentioned at all in the book that came with--and after tightening, it still seemed to leak. I thought that perhaps liquid had been trapped and hoped that tightening the base would fix the problem. Alas, the second time I used it, it leaked again. Oster 2619 350-Watt 3-in-1 Hand Blender, Chopper, and Slicer, Black

I just got mine yestarday, for just $30. Great value, I got the chopper and the mixer for small things. I just puree some canned tomatoes, I would not get my bleder dirty just for that, but this is so easy to clean.... It does his job fine.
