This is great for loose leaf tea drinkers. It's easier to fill than the tea balls. You put your loose tea in the diffuser, hang it from your cup, and pour hot tea over it. Let it sit as long as you want, pull it out when you're done, and drink. Mmm. It rinses off easily, too.
I first heard about this from Cooks Illustrated and I am very pleased with this spatula. It is really good for scraping down the sides of a mixing bowl, especially while using a stand mixer. The handle is long and slender, and the head is flat on one side and tapered on the other side. It's strong enough to use with a stiff mixture of ingredients. I will be ordering another one in a different color. This has become my favorite spatula when I use my mixing bowl because it is very easy to use and comfortable especially if you have small hands. Thanks Cooks Illustrated for recommending this great product by Tovolo. Great price too!
It's a plastic reamer and efficiently strips the juice and pulp out of citrus fruits. It washes off easily in the dishwasher and stands up by itself so that the reaming surface doesn't get dirty at picnics. And it looks pretty good too. I like the translucent reddish-purple (it's not really pink).
NEVER THOUGHT I'D GET EXCITED ABOUT A 'COLANDER'!!! PERFECT COLOR RED, PERFECT SIZE AND SHAPE AND LOOKS GREAT HANGING UP ON THE KITCHEN WALL. ADDS A LOT OF PIZZAZZ TO MY KITCHEN. I LOVE USING IT AND SO DOES MY HUSBAND.
Much heavier than expected -- metal is at least a full mm thick, I think. polished inside bowl of spoons, brushed finish outside. Quite lovely looking and imprinting on inside of spoons (partial measurement markings) is clearer than in their hemisphere measuring cups. Polished surfaces may scratch easily as one of them is scratched already. Overall pleased with design and weight, might take some getting used to since visually the volumes look very different if you are used to round spoons. Kind of wish both measuring surfaces were on same side of spoon -- can just imagine drips of vanilla extract and corn syrup on the counter already! But glad to have the lovely design.
With the assistance of these cute contraptions making ice cream sandwiches becomes incredibly easy. You begin by baking your favorite soft and chewy cookie recipe. Next, you allow them to cool slightly before cutting out the cookies with whichever shape you decide to use. This kit comes with a heart, star, and a squircle. I'm not making that up. They actually refer to the odd shaped mold as a "squircle." There's also a kit that comes with animal shapes (a chicken, cow, and pig) if that's more your style. After cutting out your cookie shapes let them cool completely on a wire rack. Finally, assemble the cookies by placing one cookie in the mold, adding a scoop of ice cream, topping with an additional cookie, and firmly applying pressure with the ... Read More:
Hey everyone, it's me! I'm here to review the products and give you my Scrutinizing opinion! Consumer products beware, MWAHAHA!
The object of my scrutiny today will be this SPOON! I needed something to help me slurp my soup, but no matter what I tried nothing seemed to work! I first tried a cheese grater. I had the basic idea right as I tried to scoop up the soup with the grater, but the object was very clumsy and the soup ran out of the holes. Back to the drawing board.
Next I tried a long leather boot. Don't ask me where I got this, teehee. The boot held the soup ok, but it was very difficult getting the soup in and out of this large, shiny shoe. I had no choice but to dump the soup right into it from the bowl, and then ... Read More:
I do love these molds! I use them to mold hard boiled eggs for school lunches. They are fun and the kids enjoy eating something that is good for them.
They are a little on the pricey side for something that has only three pieces to it. However, it is something I will use often. I also used them to make ice cream sandwiches for the kid and those were also a big hit. I used root beer float ice cream and vanilla wafer cookies crunched up. Ummmm. Again a little work for only three sandwiches so you might want more than one set, but for an occasional treat, they are great. The designs show up better on the eggs then on the ice cream sandwiches but no one complained about that.
