Wilton Giant Cupcake Pan

I followed the advice of the other commenters and used my giant cupcake pan tonight for the first time. Sprayed pan with PAM for baking, measured 4 cups of batter for each side - cooked the bottom for 10 min and then added the batter for the top and baked for another 37min. It baked very nicely and I trimmed the top of the bottom and the bottom of the top and used frosting to put the 2 pieces together. For a non-baker I felt this was easy to use and curious how my co-workers will like it (I baked it for baby shower at work). I used 2 boxes of cake mix and it made one giant cupcake and 12 regular sized cupcakes. Oh to make it lower fat I substituted oil with unsweetened apple sauce.

Wilton 53 Piece Supreme Cake Decorating Set

I got this for my wife who used to be a baker at Minglewood cafe in Ely, MN - she slept above the cafe when she worked there. Before that and after college when she first moved to Ely, she slept in the back of her Honda Accord until she found the cafe. Her parents still don't know about this. She didn't like the cake decorating set - but rather than tell me straight out when return was an option, she tried to be accomodating of my feelings. Stating, "Yeah, it looks good." And, "...it should be ok." Come 6 months and a few fights later, it has been made obvious to me that this set is subpar. Wilton Easy Flex Silicone Baking Cups 12 Count

These are the perfect size muffin - not the giant Texas size you see in bakeries but bigger than bite size. Since I only bake gluten free, these are an inexpensive solution that solve many common problems.

1)I don't find cupcake papers expensive, but I hate that they stick to most GF muffins.

2)They wash up so easily that it's not a problem for those that don't have a dishwasher. Greasing muffin pans will ensure your muffin comes out, but cleaning the cups of the muffin tin isn't my idea of a good time.

3) They are super easy to store, a real plus for my Manhattan kitchen.

Nice set of C-mas cookie cutters. Good weight to them, not like some of the cheaper made ones in some stores. Worth the money they cost.

Wilton Master Tip Set

This was my first time using decorating tips. So, decorating an enchanted cake took me an "easy" 9 hours including baking it. My only complaint with the master tip set was that it didn't specify which tip numbers were included. I had to improvise with other tips because the ones I needed weren't included. Obviously I am a novice at this. I thaught that if I got the largest set, I would get them all! It was a lot of fun & a little frustrating. In the end, the cake got great reviews. My biggest mistake was using canned frosting. It was too soft & wouldn't keep it's form. I'm thinking that my shortcut using canned frosting is why it took me so long to decorate. I will enjoy trying other projects with these tips.

Wilton 307-826 Cupcakes and More Dessert Stand

I ordered this cupcake stand for the cupcakes I baked for my son's 1st birthday party. We decided to go with cupcakes because it's much simpler to deal with when you have a bunch of kids to please.

I have to say, it was GREAT! It looks very classy and held the cupcakes at a bit of an outward angle to showcase the design on the top. The only downside to the stand is that the second layer (the one that holds 4 cupcakes) is a little tight and the cupcakes are a little smooshed together, but it didn't ruin the frosting or the overall visual effect.

A great product. I already have friends who want to borrow it for their kids' parties and I may never go back to cake again!

Wilton Icing Sculptor Set

I love this product. It makes it very easy to decorate the sides of my cakes so they look fabulous. I am not the most creative person- and my cakes often show it- not anymore! My only complaint, although minor, is that you have to add a fairly thick layer of thinner consistency icing for the tool to work easily. Otherwise it pulls the edges right out of the holder. Once I discovered this trick I was very pleased!
