After much research and hand-wringing, I finally made the plunge and ordered 750-watt Breville blender from Amazon back in May 2008. Now that six months have passed, I figured I'd weigh in on my experience. I'm pleased to say that my comments echo most of the others here - this is an incredibly powerful, reliable, and easy-to-maintain appliance. I use it to make smoothies about 4 times per week and it handles the task effortlessly and without flaw.
I have owned two KitchenAid blenders since the early 90s (since I *thought* that was the premier blender brand at the time) and was always disappointed by the lack of smoothness in the final, blended product. No worries on that point with the Breville - the pre-programmed "Smoothie" ... Read More:
...YES. You must see the OXO can opener in person to fully appreciate the brushed stainless steel, elegant curves, and black rubber grip. It is beautiful in form and function at any angle.
While true it functions the same as can openers from the .99 cent store, those just don't compare. This is a full 6" thus offering more leverage for can puncturing and bottle opening. It is akin to quality built carpenter tools.
The thicker high grade stainless steel won't bend or rust and is dishwasher safe. We have some of those smaller, cheap openers and they all rusted. You get what you pay for.
A great add-on gift, or stocking stuffer for any kitchen utensil lover. A distinctive statement for any kitchen or bar.
I needed a processor last minute when I went to a dept. store without seeing the infomercial. I got this because it seemed like a good deal with all the other stuff included. I didn't realize that this is best used for individual servings. Took me an hour to make a spinach pesto sauce about a jar amount, which would usually take me 20 minutes. The item did it's job but not great for dry to liquid items. This item is better for liquids or cream recipes in my opinion. I'm debating whether I want to return it or not.
I bought this 6 months ago. I am already looking online for replacement parts because the base to the blade cracked rendering the blender useless. It is so loud, I have to plug my ears and it scares my kids. The food prossesor purees everything to a pulp, even when you pulse it just a few times. The glass blender is heavy, akward, and drips all over when you pour. I paid 80$ for this at a department store, lucky it was a gift card. For a Cuisinart, I thought this would be quality. Keep looking.
While my wife and I use a Screwpull pocket model (Screwpull Pocket Model Corkscrew, Black) most of the time, there are bottles that are easier to open with a lever-type corkscrew, so we keep one of these handy. The Pedrini is nicely designed. The lever is the right length, holds the lip of the bottle, and it's well-made. In fact, we like Pedrini's bar ware generally. We even use their shot glasses for our espresso machine.
In general a good cork screw. A little to fancy for its own good.
accessories might impress your friends...but..go with an electric version if you can find one....it's the 21st Century.

One of my criteria in my blender search was that it had to be red. When I found this one and read the (mostly) good reviews I decided to take the plunge and buy it.
It's a very pretty blender and the container is glass, which I really like. It's sturdy and well-made.
Unlike some of the reviews, however, I am unable to get ALL the ice to totally crush, no matter what setting I use. It's not enough to make the beverages undrinkable, but that's why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5.
At one time we LOVED our RABBIT wine opener but after a few years it became almost impossible to open a bottle of wine. We complained and complained but never did anything about it until last month when we ordered a new WORM. It now works like a charm.

I work at several wineries and these cloths are an industry standard. They polish all glassware absorbing and leaving no lint. They are the same material used to clean sunglasses so they are designed not to leave even the smallest abrasion.
