Many of the reviews mention that the on/off switch doesn't work after a while. Well, mine broke after just 2 days. This is because there is a fatal flaw somewhere in the manufacturing of the product, and the button simply fails at a very high rate. I bought one of these at a department store, and it didn't turn on/off at all. Then I bought another from Amazon, hoping to fix the problem and get a better deal, but now the button on this one has stopped working after TWO DAYS! Since I love the design of the product otherwise, I went to the store, bought a switch, and wired it in myself. It looks horrible, and I've spent about 2 hours dealing with it, but at least it works.
Should Cuisinart, an otherwise respectable brand, really be putting ... Read More:

After years of breaking and replacing Krups glass carafes, it was time for a coffemaker with a thermal carafe. I bought a refurbished Capresso 441.05 MT-500 for $89. At that price it's a steal. At the usual $189 price, it would be a bit expensive. But it makes tasty coffee, which is what matters.

I've been using it every day for about 6 weeks. I use a measuring cup to determine how much water to use, so the tiny numbers on the gauge are not an issue for my aging eyes. The brewed coffee always flows into the carafe - the only way for it to spill onto the counter would be if the carafe were not empty if you started. The product works alright. In comparison to the liquid version this product is very expensive as you will only get 3 cleanings out of this 9 pack (3 tablets per cleaning). The price point of the liquid is more reasonable as it provides at least 5 or 6 cleanings.

Primula Flowering Black/Earl Grey tea is an excellent tea during tea time.
