I don't even look for my old glass measures. I use this for liquids and dry measures such as milk, water, flour, rice, etc. Accurate and simple to use. The lid is good when you need to store in the fridge without having to worry about spills or getting out some plastic wrap. I'm probably going to buy another one later. Thanks to foodie Alton for this find.

Norpro Bread Slicer with Crumb Catcher

I started to make bread again in my bread maker. However it seems like I was not able to get an even slice for toasting. This slicer helps keep the knife evenly spaced for each slice. I had a little trouble keeping the sides together so the end plate would not fall out, but finally got the system going. Now I need to purchase a good sharp bread slicing knife to make my life perfect.

Norpro Pasta Drying Rack

This pasta drying rack is simple and very functional. I find its holding capacity equals the yield of an average batch of pasta, enough for about 4-6 servings. I think if I were entertaining and doubling my recipe I could probably squeeze it all on without much trouble. To store the rack, remove the dowels and lay them all together. You will need storage space enough for the base, about 8 inches, and for the dowels, about 18 inches. I store it all in my baking cabinet under my island countertop. If you are like me, maybe you have been hanging your noodles/pasta anywhere you can find a place. ha ha :) - that works okay but it's really great to finally have a rack and for the price you really can't go wrong!

I bought these primarily because I needed a new set of tupperware anyway... I looked around for a while and settled on these. I won't be going back to anything else.

In fact, I threw out all my old stuff because having fewer total, but of this quality is worth it. These are a pretty good priced (they can be found at many stores) but buying from Amazon with free 2-day shipping is always a plus in my book!

Give these a shot and you'll find yourself never looking back.

This is the 5th Vidalia Chop Wizard I have purchased. I use it in my small resturant. Nothing is better to make Pico de Gallo.
I use it for everything from dicing onions and tomatoes to ham for omlettes and salads.
The only problem I have had is the clear plastic base cracks if top is not fitted on just right. After breaking 3, I am very careful. I also broke one when it was dropped. But I will always replace because it is such a great kitchen tool. I actually bought 2 this time, just in case!

Got this scale for weighing coins. Excellent accuracy for the price. Best scale I've used in years for the price. Don't forget to get the 100g calibration weight.

Oxo Good Grips Box Grater

I love the fact that the container on the bottom hold all the gratings. It's a strong box grater too which I'm sure will be around for a very long time.
