Progressive International Vegetable/French Fry Cutter

I had an old french fry cutter that I finally tossed because it was rusty (yuck). I got this one, and have to say that I am very happy with it. I am surprised that some people wrote that it takes quite a bit of force. I was expecting it to take some muscle, so I put my potato in there and gave it a hefty pull. The potato went through like butter and flew halfway across the counter. I didn't hardly use any force on the next spud, and it went through like butter again. This time it didn't fly away. I am a 55-year-old, 100 pound lady, not the incredible hulk! It would be nice if the base was just an inch longer but for the price, I will cut my potatoes in half. It still makes nice size fries. I normally am a fan of OXO products, but this one is just to flimsy. I bent the flat steel between the handle and the disk the second time using it, now it's in the trash.
My wife had used it maybe a dozen times before me, so maybe for a gentle person it would be fine.

This product is good as to what it says. However, I feel the bowls are a little small. If it can be bigger, it will be great.

Trudeau Garlic Press

This garlic press has rubber sleeves that go over the handles, and when the press is washed water goes inside the sleeves, which requires taking the sleeves off after washing to dry out, or removing the sleeves prior to washing. Found this inconvenient.

This is an "old-style" analog thermometer that doesn't require batteries, lcd screens, etc. It works, but I prefer digital.

I have been using these bags for years. I cut 4-5 bags, about 12 inches long, at a time and seal the bottoms. When I wash them I put them over a wooden spoon in the drain. I label them above the cut-off line before sealing. I like buying chicken, chops, steaks, and burger in bulk at Sam's and divide them up into small, meal-sized portions. Blue berries freeze well as do strawberries. I cook up meat balls and freeze them. This machine and the bags are a wonderful addition to any kitchen and has an unlimited number of uses.. It will save you money and make your life a lot simpler.

Lekue Silicone Ice Cube Tray, Penguin

This ice cube tray was everything I hoped it would be -- it is made of sturdy, good quality silicone, not some too-thin flimsy material. The ice cubes pop out easily when I push the back of the penguin mold, unlike some other silicone shaped ice cube trays where it takes a lot of effort to get the ice to pop out. Like all non-cube trays (i.e. ones with fun shapes), it's a bit of a hassle to fill it with water because you have to fill each individual compartment, not like with a regular tray where all compartments overflow into each other. Still, that's the small price I pay for exceedingly cute cubes :)

Thermos Nissan 14-Ounce Stainless-Steel Insulated Travel Tumbler

I now have two of these 14oz travel tumblers. they are great !! Keep my cold drinks cold for over 4hrs, same with coffee. I highly recommend this Nissan thermos.
