Definitely better than Microplane in its shape (slightly rounded) and its sharpness (hide your knuckles). Also love the fact that the end you place on the counter/cutting board is rubber coated to prevent slippage. Only drawback is the plastic handle: it's too short (and I have little hands!), and the plastic is cheezy and uncomfortable. A lot of my utensils are Good Grips, and you really come to rely on and appreciate the heft, girth and comfort of their handles.

This thing works great. Very few unpopped kernels. Works quickly -- I would say it is quicker than making microwave popcorn. The end result is healthier than kettle corn or microwave popcorn, depending of course on what you decide to top it with...

The popcorn is delicious, it works quickly, no complaints here.

I bought this set to add to my freezer/fridge/microwave storage containers. I've gone from Tupperware with its warping lids to Pyrex sets and have never looked back. Sturdy non-warping lids. Even looks good on the table.

As a recent widower,who never in 85yrs.boiled a pot of water,I'm doing
what I never thought of doing....cooking.Thats exaggerated Heating up is
closer.I'm getting along pretty well mainley because I like it,and it's
new.One thing I found is not relying on the oven temp setting .I use the
Polder thermometer to sense the correct heat for whatever I'm cooking at the time. Try it ....you'll like it.

I learned how to sharpen knives, sisors, shears, lawnmover blades... This is do in 30 seconds what would take me an hour. It's well worth the money if you like your knife sharp.

... it's a replacement for the 5-qt. dutch oven I used weekly which was lost when moving. $53 Lodge vs. $210 Le Creuset. The 75% savings paid for a complete 10-piece set of Cuisinart Chef's Classic stainless steel. (Bought the original Le Creuset in 1991 as part of a 2 fry pans, 2 sauce, 1 dutch oven set for $170.)

Don't know yet if I like the shallower/wider shape as I'm so accustomed to long-cooking dishes in a deep pot. But, it is a generous 6-qts. (rather than 5), it cooks the same, and the quality is on par with the Le Creuset. There is not as much surface contact with the heating element, but I love the rounded interior bottom for stirring up the pot!

I am amazed at the number of negative, or misguided reviews for the Cuisinart CBK-200. If your machine is a lemon, my apologies, but the truth of the matter is that a large number of the negative reviews here show that they simply failed to read the instructions. You CAN stop the machine in mid-cycle (hold the off button for three seconds); you CAN mute the add mix-ins beeps (simply press the button off); and you CAN turn out wonderful breads, with the right textures, crusts and sizes. It's all at your fingertips. Whether you are an experienced baker, or someone who bakes every now and then and has used other breadmakers, or -- even -- someone who is new to bread machines, my suggestion is that you start with a boxed mix. Excellent knives, very sharp. I have had no problem with these and don't believe I will have any. They are well made and do what I need them to. I like them and they will do until I can afford the TWINS. J.A. Henckels has a high-end set of knives that are very pricey but worth it. These will do until then.
